There are some who think that in order to maintain peace and unity, we must deny that differences exist. Thus the idea "there's only one race". It's a noble idea, but it's counter-productive. One need not deny diversity to protect unity. Instead, we should acknowledge and celebrate the diversity in order to have unity. As apothanein kerdos was trying to point out, when we blur the line (and insist we're all "one" color/race/ethinic background), not only is it false, it is essentially rejecting and denying the creativity of God.

I had an English english professor....thus, when he continued to mark through my spellings, I changed my habits. Didn't alter everything, just most of it.

ya don't have to be european to spell words with a "u" LOL. i have always spelled words with a u... colour, behaviour, etc. my mother is 80 years old, and was the 11th of 12 children, making her mother probably 40 years older than her or more. i think we learn it from our parents... back when my grandmother was growing up, the british spelling was more common than the americanized version... my mom learned it from her, i learned it from mom, and my oldest daughter, who is 19, picked it up from me... she also spells things the british way.

I think people should marry within their own race. There can be medical problems with the children of mixed marriages. There can be problems in a couple from two races getting along with each family. Bi nationality, as some have said on here, is not the same is bi-racial. If you are bi-racial, you can't help what your parents did. What kind of difficulty are you living with?

folk should be able to marry in or out of their race, and as for there being medical problems if people have children from mixed marriages thats nonsense also....i expect you are referring to sickle cell aneamia...do some research!

i have a son of dual heritage, the most amzingly beautiful boy ever, said by people daily, not just his mum and he has the very best of 2 heritages. 2 cultures from diverse backgrounds and he is so much more enriched for it.

why would you need to know anyway, being bi-racial is nothing more special than being black white yellow green or any shade in between, it simply wasnt important!
