In the end, dont forget that you cannot save another person. It is between them and God. You can help them come to know the lord, but no christian can save another.

True, God alone does the saving. However, after all is said and done Revelation says, " ...He will wipe away every tear...". Now, we know in part - - one day we will know in full. So if there is grief over whomever is lost - - it seems to me that our God is our comfort

Cats

I have always contended and always will that babies go to heaven and there are some that will harp on about going to hell because you must be born again blah blah. and babies are not old enough to make a decision etc etc. God's ways are not our ways and God's thoughts aren't our thoughts.

It is also my own belief that when we reach the end of our journey, we won't remember a thing about our previous life on earth. The word says that. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation and old things have passed away; behold all things are become new."

In Rev 7:16-17 the word gives a pretty good overview of what it will be like. There will be no tears, so that's a pretty good indication that we will no longer remeber what it was like when we were in our physical bodies. We will all be conformed to the image if Christ according to Rom.8:29 so that He might be the first born among many brethren. We can only speculate what it is goingto be like, but that's my take on it and I am as excited as a child on Christmas eve.

cheers,

eric

What do you think it will be like watching someone consigned to hell that you know or care about after its all over? Will you care? Care about them anymore? Call it justice? What are some peoples thoughts on this?

I think that is a good question. How could heaven contain sadness and remorse though?

How about the inverse. If one were to go to hell, but knew that someone we loved was eternally in heaven, well then is hell really hell? If I knew for example that my wife and children were in heaven, well I would always have that joy, even in hell. But would hell really be hell then?

I can't answer those questions.

Hi Eric.

But if we don't remember anything about our past life, well then we died we as an individual ceased to exist, and there is some other person living in heaven, but not us. For all purposes the people we are now would be dead if we have zero memories, as memories are really the only thing which make us who we are from one moment to the next. But I know where you are coming from on that. I do think the individual entity that we are, our souls, exist and are not re-created in their entirety, I think we will have all knowledge, including our old knowledge.

This is my comfort:

1 Corinthians 13:12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Hi smalcald,

Well I can say this for sure there's 90% of my past life I have no wish to remember and that includes most of my past family and I am an old man now.

Rev.21:4-5.And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.

And He that sat upon the throne said,Behold I make all things new and He said unto me, write for these things are true and faithful.

WOW! a clean slate and a new start of a new world and a new life.

Even so; come Lord Jesus. Thank you Lord.

In Heaven, our perspective, not marred by sin as it is now, will be much different. Now we often question God's actions and judgements. We now fail to see God's glory in these things. When we finally are in His presence we will see things much differently. We will no longer cling to the past nor will we have worries or regrets. Clearly we cannot even begin to imagine how things will be then. Neither eye has seen nor ear has heard ... .

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
