Hi Daughter of the King,

So sorry you are having nightmares.

There can be many differnt reasons or combination of reasons why you are having ngithmares.

I'm with you here, I hate nightmares, too.

Here's a few thoughts.

Things, experiences, or feelings your are worried about, or may have stuffed down and are trying to resolve. So, they keep returning till they are dealt with. (stuffed down feelings and fears are good at this one)

Eating before bedtime can give bad dreams and indigestion or full stomach can , too. (some foods do for some people)

A calm walk will help with sleeping, too.

Can try logging your dreams in a tablet and see what it might be that is bothering you. Also , talking them out with a councelor to find the hidden problems on your mind. If it does not become apparent to you why you are having them reoccur.

Medications can also affect dreams alot.

B complex vitiamin taken late in the day wil affect dreaming or cause sleeplessness. Better taken early in the day.

What you watch on movies, read , see, on tv or elsewhere. (also whaty ou think on etc, focus)

Needing quiet time before bed and time to unwind and relax, deal with the problems of the day. can also journal them and let them go.

Prayers and Bible passage and soft music help make sleep a better place to be.

Praise music can be really nice to go to sleep with.

Annointing your room with oil and prayers and pray in faith God will bless you sleep in JESUS name.

Stress can cause nightmares.

Illness can cause them, too.

Another thing is to remember; it is YOUR MIND and you have control. Before you go to bed, tell yourself you will tell it to stop if it happens again. (if it does happens again, turn around , face it say leave!)

Hope some ideas are some help for you.

Even longtime reoccuring nightmares can be dealt with and stop occuring, especially when finding it was from some fear or feelings that are stuffed down and need aired and dealt with. It can be that simple as fiding what your mind it trying to tell you or your heart in these dreams. sometime it is something from childhood, you weren't recogniseing and it will give it emotional impact, that otherwise it would not have or memories.

Hope you rest better and feel better, too.

blessings,

elkie

I have not had a nightmare since I was saved. I did have them before that time and quite frightening. I believe that dreams are a link to the spiritual realm. Some dreams can shed some light on problems that people have. Like Joseph and Daniel, God is the giver of interpretation.

Sounds like from everything you post DofK God is trying to get your attention.

Hey...

I have the same nightmare every night, and so I average about 3 hours of sleep a night, taking short naps during the day. With me it stems from an incident a few years ago and the doctors say eventually the nightware will go a way. Yeah, I should live that long. Anyway, it seems to me dreams are an unreliable way for G-d to speak to us (we have His Word, after all) and I really have trouble believing that nightmares are Satanic; the thoughts of the devil running around my head goes against the Biblical testimony (the devil isn't IN me) that greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. That doesn't mean the devil can't or won't take things in your life (incidents, thoughts, attitudes, things you read, etc.) and use them against you to try and break your faith. Human beings, being what we are, tend to be drawn to the negative and lean towards dwelling on bad things anyway. I get great comfort from knowing many people are praying for me, as I will be for you, and someday, Lord willing, we'll get the victory.

I don't often have nightmares. But those I do have are rather intense. I had one a couple of weeks ago.

I was walking down a street and there was this demonic looking woman. She started whispering some stuff. And all of a sudden I could not move well. Like walking through a mess of slime. A man on horseback appeared. Looking like a Ring-Wraith from Lord of the Rings. And I just kept praying for a rescue. I woke up in a sweat. And it has stayed with me ever since. About 4 weeks ago. I sometimes can control my dreams. SOmetimes I cannot.

But DaughterofKing let me encourage you to journal your dreams. Keep a journal, and a pen. nestled under your mattress. And when it is fresh in your memory. Write your dreams down. At best you get a trip into your psyche. And maybe even a best seller to boot.

MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU WITH SWEET PLEASANT DREAMS FROM NOW ON!!! IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS>>>AMEN!!!

Well, let me tell y'all the dream I had last night.

Um, i was standing around with a bunch of folks and we were doing like some kind of performance and we had to wear the same outfit, shoes and belt. And they kept telling me to wear this and wear that and do this and do that. And then at one point they took something away from me and then eventually forgot about me all together and so I just sat there annoyed and frustrated.

If you guys remember I posted something about what I should do with my life, whether I should stay with my parents or move away. DO you suppose this dream is venting my frustrations of not having control over my life? I mean its hard to say because, it could be satan tricking me, so i dont know.

Sounds like you are on the right track about control or lack of it in your life. You may have a security issue as well. Don't give the devil credit for this one...I'd say it's all your own.

Alright, here is the latest nightmare I just had. I was living in an apartment with a roommate. The roommate was a guy and at first I found a secret door out of the apartment but then when I opened it he was looking at me. I was afraid to go to sleep cause i thought I didnt trust him and I didn't like him. So I thought I will have to stay up all night.

This is what I think my ex-roommate thought about me. Am I dreaming what I think or is God telling me that what I thought was true?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
