it really has nothing to say to the lone ranger Christian hiding in his or her house.

What about Tonto? Was he a Christian as well? Did he hide out in his house or hide out with the Lone Ranger? Say, when did the Lone Ranger hide out? :):):):noidea::)

Coming out of the MAN-MADE and RELIGIOUS church does not mean abandoning the gathering all together. A lone christian will surely wither away no matter how strong his faith is. "We are members one of another". A lone christian is cut off from the blood supply; they are cut off from the body of Christ which is a real spiritual reality. We are organically joined. If we cut off our finger it will die. We need to come out of the MAN-MADE church and into the real living church that worships in spirit and in truth.

The church is not a building, WE make up the church. We, individually, are a temple of God. When we come together corportately we express God. "For whenever two or three have gathered in my Name, there I will be in their midst" We can have 'church' with just two or three gathered together!

We need to come out of the man-made religious churches and into the full reality of the living church, the body of Christ. It is not an organization. It is not a system...neither is it individual...It is organic, corporate and universal. Universal means there is only one building. Jesus is coming back for the Church who is the bride of Christ.

How can this be reality? The churches today with more than a hundred members sitting in one room all facing the pulpit will not work. Tithing 10% of your income will not work. Singing in the choir and particapting in the numerous other activities will not work either. It is when the believers have gathered together in the Name of the Lord with a pure heart.

It is a place where the believers can openly share problems and openly pray for one another. Each one giving their portion: whether word of knowledge, word of encouragement, a testimony, prophecy, or hymn...these all must be done for the edifying of the church. In the man-made churches people just sit in the pews and hope for an entertaining sermon. When it is not entertaining they will sit it out...as long as they sit and pay attention this is the service they can do for God. No...the church is not just ONE man speaking and preaching...each and every member must function and there can be no hinderances to this. That is why there is death...that is why many people in the pews are experiencing death...their spirits are not functioning; they are not allowing their spirit to outflow the things from the Holy Spirit.

The best place for this is therefore in the home where everyone feels comfortable to share...or at a table in a coffee shop. You can not do this in the sermon on sunday in the pews.

We come to four things...

First we have the Church - many members and the best place to meet would be a room that could fit 100+ people. Here the pastor has his sermon. This can be on Sunday or any day we choose as the Sabbath.

Second we have home meetings (or smaller meetings) - a number of members (could be 2, 3 and up to maybe 40...whatever number of people could fit in the house) where the members could give each other their portion. These can be on all or any weekday.

Third we have vital or personal relations - two members who are close and where all facades and walls covering up our true feelings, thoughts, and emotions can be dropped. These can (and should) be everyday!

Fourth we have personal vitality - we are supplied from within and strengthened in spirit. We have life gushing from within. This takes us out of the lukewarm state. Our spirits can be thus fanned into flames. This is constant, every second and moment!

It is not abandoning the gathering...it is coming out of the laity, the system and organization. For the Lord hates the work of the Nicolaitanes.

We must come out of Egypt and walk out into the wilderness. Many Christians are still in Egypt. They may have had the blood of Christ cover them but they are still in bondage. For when the Israelites covered their doorposts with blood this represented our acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Saviour. However, there were many who wanted to return to Egypt...where they would be comfortable with food though still under bondage. We, the Church, are pure and holy. We, therefore, must be seperated from the world. The world is Egypt. Satan is the pharoah.

Christ is coming back for HIS Church, His bride! Will we be the 5 foolish virgins who did not have extra oil in their vessels? Or will we be the 5 wise virgins who had extra oil when the bridegroom came?

Here they come again!!

Apparently they can't go in churches since they have abandoned them as Babylon but its alright to frequent para-church ministries like Worthy Boards! I wish they would abandon this site too!

I enjoy going to and visiting many "churches". I seize the opportunity to speak with the pastor or leader. I have gone to catholic, baptist, pentecostal, and other denominations. I hope to visit as many churches as I can in the future if God is willing.

We should see that there is no distinction between all believers. God, when He looks at a city, He does not see First Baptist Church, United Methodist church, catholic, orthodox, pentecostal etc. He sees the church in Austin, Munich, Taipei...Corinth, Ephesia, Philadelphia...whatever the city name. Wherever we are and in whatever city, we should just call ourselves the church.

We can have no other name. We cannot have the name of orthodox, catholic or protestant. Simply we are the Church in Christ.

Congratulations Felix. In spite of all of your criticisms and bellyaching about the old church and man-made religion, your long post is nothing more than ... you guessed it ... man made religion! You have set up your nice little formula with your own rules, taken away all other's Christian liberty to worship in any way other than what Felix has described and created your own establishment. Welcome to Felix's version of Egypt!

If a church wishes to use the name Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, or even the Church of Christ or whatever to differentiate their church from others please show me why they do not have the freedom to do so. Anytime a movement claims to have exclusive truth exclusively such as yours based on some extra-biblical "revelation" you really need to reconsider what you are claiming and get a reality check before you become the next David Koresh, the next Jim Jones or the latest flying saucer cult.

I was thinking about my response to this, and I think that maybe it was overdone. Instead of focusing on the problems with this idea in sort of a knee jerk response, as I am prone to do, maybe we should look at why this is happening?

I do think we need to tell people why this sort of idea is dangerous, and is deeply flawed and I think hypocritical, as st. worm correctly points out. But on the other hand, why are people so discouraged with visible church organizations, that they feel comfortable running to this sort of thing? This should be our fist concern, the fact that these kind of anti-Church movements can gain popularity to me is a wake up call for our congregations, not that we should accept them as good, but criticism can help our congregations and strengthen them.

Amen, Smalcald! Let's light a candle instead of complaining about the darkness!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
