Proof that Christianity is targeted

If anyone has been paying attention to what is going on in the Muslim world and Europe, Muslims are throwing a fit over a paper running a cartoon mocking the Muslim prophet. Muslims are t hrowing such a fit that European governments are apologizing and those involved in running the cartoon have been fired.

IF Christians get upset over someone using God's name in vain in a movie, get upset over someone putting Christ in urine, get upset over a false image of Jesus that mocks Him.......we become intolerant. No one apologizes, no one says sorry, no one does anything. But these Muslims, the same Muslims that kill Christians, the same Muslims that deny free speech to people....are being apologized to?

What a backwards world.

I am glad you posted this thread, as I was reading about this very thing last night and it has been on my mind, too.

It is certainly backwards and a concern, too.

While people here let the tv tell them what to think, they are missing out on some very important facts of the Muslim onset and also the misunderstanding of the myths of the palestinian victimization and mising the knowledge of Israels Jewish peoples right to Israel.

What contrasts, they call for a national day of anger, we call for peace, they call for forced high levied taxes on unbelievers and thier book tells them to exact agressive violence on unbelievers and the NT asks for peace for followers of Christ and LOVE.

When I read in their book that unbelievers who choose not to convert must be killed with much agression/violence to prove allah is with them, it was horrifying to me.

Talk about intolerance, they don't EVEN know what intolerance is yet in the USA sighs and I hope we never do!

People like to assume Christians are intolerant, they might try seeing what they do to you in Muslim nations for speaking against what the totalitarians there insist people believe.

If we can encourage Muslims to read the parts of their book that says Israel belongs to the Jews and also to read the NT, it may change some hearts. I know showing love has helped ones I know of. LOVE is the only thing that can make friends out of enemies as Martin Luther said. Love of GOd I mean, His Love heals.

What gets me is they want to kill anyone who has any other GOD than their allah, and yet , their ancestors had allah as only one of their gods, the moon god who was greatest among many gods, and then became the great god to them. By their deifnition, they would of had to kill all their own ancestors, go figure.

Some good news is that ministries to palestinians and Muslims have found alot of interest in the Christian programming on their tvs and many are watching, missionaries have said so that when people are delivering food help, they find people watching it on tv. I know of ones who have come to Christ and found the GOd who lives and loves them.

We need to pray for our enemies and they are set to be enemies.

I pray they will know JEsus as their Lord and Saviour and have the healing peace in their lives.

THere is a great story in the banner ministries book(it is available free ) about how they took believers(in Jesus) from Israel and Palestine out for two weeks with their families into the dessert , on camels and they began to share their mutual pain and suffering after a few days odf feeling distant to oen another, and how they came to see their children playing together and promised to stay in touch.

On my blog I wrote an article about taking America back from non-Christians who are bent on destroying our society. At the end I recommend two eye-opening books about Islam.

It is not a kind and peaceful religion. Quite the opposite.

Your statement is false. There were shops that pulled the Jerry Springer opera DVD due to pressure from Christian groups. Plus many are not apologising for printing the cartoons, as they and I value freedom above all else.

There are quite a bit apologizing....an editor for a French newspaper was fired for running the photos. give me a break, how blind can people be?

That the other papers in Europe posted the cartoons as well, after the Moslems began objecting and threatening, was the first and only act of moral courage I have ever seen by Europe!

Don't berate Europe too harshly for not staying in for the long haul: When a donkey flies, you don't get mad at it for not staying up very long.......

Tis one of the reasons I have second thoughts about opposing the whole "Book of Daniel" show. Yes, I found it hurtful and offensive, but maybe it was wrong to protest it? I don't know.
