It is very simple to understand and out in the open to me.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

My apologies to you Charlie, I meant no insult or accusation in my post.

I am truly sorry!!!

I KNOW that these writings, and all Scriptural writing "means what it says", and have no need to "enlighten you". If you can't find your own illumination, no one will be able to find it for you, here or anywhere.

Good luck and have fun with your game

TC I am perplexed.

What does luck have to do with it? And you end I'm sorry with the claim that searching for truth is a game?

Charlie, I think you know what he means. It is a weekend game. At this point it doesn't even take the Biblical gift of discernment to realize this is a debate game. You have no desire to be convinced, but merely be intrigued with debating. If I am wrong, I apologize to everyone reading this. But, this is a lesson in tennis not genuine theology. Let me get this straight. I waited until this week to read the bible just to come here and play a weekend game with you? That doesn't make any sense to me.

But you can believe what you will.

I recently read the bible in 6 hours

:o How many pages a minute can you read? Wow!

with 95% or better comprehension.

OK, we need to have an understanding of "comprehension" here. I mean, to fully comprehend the Bible, you need to know and understand the culture and world views of the peoples involved. A knowledge of arheology and geography of the times helps, too. And then there are the Hebrew idioms. And do you understand the governance over Israel in the days of the New Testament? Etc., etc., etc.

If the truth about Jesus isn

Concerning the things that you mentioned above. Do you have any names of books that would be good reference material that I can read? Like the languages of the bible. Any names of books that might deal with archeology and geography. The only things that I have are an American standard and a New King James version of the bible. I am afraid I am presently retarded in those subjects other than what I have read in these bibles. I am only interested in reference material that might help me understand what is in the bible. I don

Well Charlie, do you see what I mean?

TC hit the nail smack on the head when writing;

If you can't find your own illumination, no one will be able to find it for you

I'll add that 'no one', includes people that write books,

You are not going to find your illumination from books.

The closest you are going to get to understanding Jesus, from anything written is in the bible.

Anything else written will be based on someones point of view of the bible and their understanding, and as you have seen, that can be exasperating

For now, all your understanding is going to come from your communication with God.

You see, knowing God is knowing Jesus Christ, only then will you understand .1 Cor 2:10-12

Until you are communicating with God ... How are you going to know when He is answering your questions through the people and things in your life?,

because He is trying to do it right now!

But,... you're just trying to do it by yourself and not with Him

Why are you looking for that understanding fom men, whether from forums or books.

If you want to learn about God and Jesus go straight to them, no one is going to know that you talk to them (pray), if you're embarassed about it, do it when you're by yourself, I did.

If you are not talking to God (have a relationship with Him), you can question and debate right with all the greatest intellects in the world and not understand God. (1 Cor. 18..)

Sorry Charlie, but I have to tell you for your own good, for now, you're in way over your head

Get rid of your pride in intellect, admit you don't know (not to me, to God) and that you want to know

Get the milk first, the easily digested food, then come back to the scholars on this page for the stuff thats harder to digest (1 Cor 3:1-4)

Get the milk, talk to God

You have to die from the old life to go to the new one, what is it you have to die from, what is controling your life, what is keeping you from talking to God

Jesus could not heal these people because in order for healing to begin, we must accept it. A doctor cannot bind a wound unless the patient allows him to do so - even though the doctor is fully qualified and could save the person's life, that person has to cooperate in order to receive healing.

God does not want to force himself on people, He wants people to choose to accept Him. That power of choice is important because what good is a servant who is forced to serve you? Wouldn't you rather have a servant who serves you because he loves you, not because he has to?

A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none,But knowledge is easy to one who has understanding.

and I saw every work of God, I concluded that (A)man cannot discover the work which has been done under the sun Even though man should seek laboriously, he will not discover; and though the wise man should say, "I know," he cannot discover.

Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you

Better is open rebukeThan love that is concealed.

By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
