I guess none of us pray enough Andrew otherwise the world wouldn't be in such a state. I couldn't tell you how often I pray, but I tell you what, the older I get the more I find myself in prayer, not for myself mind you, because I'm covered by the blood of the lamb, but for the friends and family that aren't saved. Bless you brother.

One of my favoritie subjects is prayer. Prayer is important to our daily walk with the Lord.

I pray daily, several times a day. Don't misunderstand, I don't go into a prayer closet, get on my knees and go through a prayerlist everytime. No, most of my prayers are much more informal. Just talking to God. I pray on my way to work every day. It's one of my favorite times. Don't know how safe it is ( ) but I figure the safest I can be is when I'm talking to my Father. Several times during the day things happen that I have to take to the Lord. Now, I have not always done this Andy. But I found that the more I did it, the more I wanted to. It's our connection, our privilege.

I sometimes pray online for people. I used to go off privately (and still do in some instances) but I had a bad experience one time. See, I told someone that I would pray for them (a long time ago) but I forgot. I used to wait until the end of the day and pray for all the ones that asked me during the day. One this occassion, I got busy and simply forgot. I felt sooooo bad. So now, I take the time to do it right then.

Anyway, just so you know - -I don't know how to pray. I see classes and seminars all the time on how to pray effectively. And I'm always hearing beautiful prayers and powerful sounding prayers from people. But my point is, I think all we have to do is to go to the Father in faith and belief, and just TALK to Him, and He will hear us. I think it's that simple. He wants our time to be spent with Him. He wants to hear from His children.

AS far as praying enough, I don't know if anyone really does. The word says to pray without ceasing. I don't know if it means that literally. If we walkk with someone, we don't always talk, yet, if we're really close to that person, we communicate without words. If we pay attention, we know when he is going to turn a corner or slow down or speed up without a word being said. Our goal should be to have that kind of walk with our Father. I think that would be praying without ceasing.

I'm usually the first one in our house to get up every morning. I like this because it gives me a very quiet house to have a time of prayer and Bible study. This is the time I go through my prayerlist. But I try to keep and attitude of prayer all day. I do this by making sure I keep open communications between my Lord and myself by confessing each sin and wrong attitude as the Holy Spirit brings it to my attention.

Like Trav, there have been times when I forgot to pray for people when they asked me to. It kind of gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach to realize the situation has come to pass and I have had no part in the blessing of that person. So now I pray immediately when someone asks. Then I also try to get them on my prayer list so I don't forget to continue to pray.

Prayer is the most powerful, yet the most neglected gift the Father has given us.

1 Thessalonians 5:25 Brethren, pray for us.

Eric, I agree wholeheartedly with you. It does seem the older we get the more we pray. I find myself waking up at night knowing that I have been praying for someone while I was sleeping.

Tell Emmy I said hello. I'm like Gary, I would love to visit your country sometime. There just doesn't seem to be any chance of that happening unless the Lord translates us. If He ever does, I look forward to meeting you and Emmy. All my love to you both.

Patsy

Patsy baby, I passed your message on to Emmy and she says likewise. Prayer plays a huge part in our lives and strangely enough we seldom pray together. Like Trav said, you dont have to lock youself away in a room and get down on your benders, but you can pray anywhere and any time. I like it best when I'm walking with my little dog through the open country and there's no one around. Wow I can call out loud to the Lord as I wallow in His creation. Only me and the trees and grass and birds and Him. and I can let it all hang out. Halelluljah. I would wither up and dry if I couldn,t pray and give thanks to our father.

Tell me old mate Gary I'm praying right now that the Lord would increase the healing process on his foot and tell if he doesn't make the trip to NZ before the Lord comes, I'll set a place at the table for him when he comes home. But if he gets there first I expect him to do the same for me. Wink wink nudge nudge.

Hey you all have a great day in the Lord and we will pray for you on a daily basis. I love this cool dude. eric

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
