Greetings Old Timer,

I haven't talked to George, our board owner, for a long time, but I assume he is still in Israel ministering. He once wrote that of the population of Jews in Israel, less than 2% have accepted Christ. This is pretty much consistent with the rest of the world as best I can determine in searching for statistics, although my estimate is closer to 1%. This remains a "remnant" of all Jews. So the current Jews in Israel, I do not believe fit into the category of those verses I previously quoted.

I see the Jews return to the land will be hand in hand with us when Christ returns to rule for the 1,000 years. This will fulfill the promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, so that those there now are NOT of this final group, although, it is interesting that of the 13,000,000 I quoted from ICEJ, 1% is 130,000. Just a little more than that percentage wise, would give us the 144,000 mentioned in Revelation. Could this be one of the signs of the last days?

To continue with my previous thoughts I will pose a few questions:

The folks from the northern tribe (Israel) that did not go to Judah or escape to Judah after the Assyrian conquest are never called Jews in the Bible. They are called Israel, Ephraim, Samaria, etc.

BTW I did not mean to imply you needed a history lesson. I know you are well acquainted with the OT as well as the NT but I wanted to develop my thoughts and explanations for any who may read these posts.

Does this have anything to do with the Old and New Covenants? Going back to one of my previous posts on Hosea chapter 1 and Ezekiel chapter 37, I see the New Covenant coming to fruition upon all Israel (north and south) at the conclusion of the present age.

I see a distinction between the Jews and the lost Israelites. When I say,

I am satisfied that the 12 tribes are accounted for. Because we do not have a finite hold on each of the 12 tribes, doesn't trouble me. I hope your search proves fruitful. When it does, let us know.

As you say, this is an end time conclusion for Israel.
