Hey, Hobbie,

I am super new to this board, but spiritual warfare is my passion and specialty. Not that I am a Bob Larson type or have a Doctorate, but because I have been attacked since I was born and will be until the day I die. I am not only a creation of God, but his child. And Satan will stop at nothing to destroy anything that is the object of God's affection. God loves you because he created you. Plain and simple. Satan already hated you just for being here. But, you are in good company! 6 billion people around this globe are in the same boat. But you are a child of God! So you have authority over spiritual darkness you need to become familiar with and use. Prayer is an amazing tool. And the word.

I am rereading the posts to get a better handle on things and I will PM you later on this when I get my thoughts together. Take courage, have no fear, for the spirit of God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind!

"Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).

Every passage in the New Testament that deals with the Devil always instructs you and me to do something about the Devil. New Testament believers are never told to pray that God would do something about the Devil!

In James 4:7 "you" is the understood subject of the sentence "You resist the Devil and he will flee from you." Notice it's not, "Pray to God for Him to do something about the Devil." Nor is it, "Pray that Jesus won't let the Devil get you."

Also notice that the Bible doesn't say, "When you feel like it, you can resist the Devil, and it will work for you." No. Whether you feel like it or not, the authority still belongs to you. You can't feel authority; you just exercise it!

I once sensed in my spirit that there was special significance about the word "flee" in James 4:7. In a huge dictionary I found the definition that seemed to fit what my spirit called for: "To flee: to run from as in terror."

Act on James 4:7. Don't just consider it as a fairy tale, but as the Word of God, which is to be acted upon. If you'll act on it, the Devil and all his cohorts will run from you as in terror!

Confession: I resist the Devil according to God's Word. The Devil runs from me as in terror. He's scared to death of Jesus Christ, so he's scared to death of me!

Hi. First off, I would like to offer my apoligies for the loss of your mother some time ago. I am only an 18 year old boy, and I find it very hard imagining a world without my mother.

Second off, this comment you made about what your preacher said kinda shook me up. Actually, I'm a little angry about the comment. You said your pastor said if you don't do this and that and blah blah blah, God will turn His back on you. Of all the nerve! No human being has no right or authority to say that. Hear me when I say this. God NEVER turns His back on us, but we tend to turn our backs on God.

Now, I'm not saying this is what you have done, by no means, but nethertheless, understand that our God would never turn His back on His children, and that is what you are. You are His Child, and He loves you very much, and I am sure it pains Him very much to see you going through such an ordeal. No good father wishes to see his children in pain, and we justr happen to have the best One there is!

As far as sleep demons. You betcha. Just as there are certain angels for certain reasons, there are certain demons made for certain reasons. I truly do believe that you may have some evil spirit in your house. What I recommend you doing is find a way to get a hold of some annointed oil, place a few drops on your head, then go through every room in your house and rub the outsides of the doors with the oil. While you are doing this, continue to say "In the name of Jesus" . Remember, as a Christian, you have also agreed to an obligation. A call to duty if you will. You are not merelt a child of God, but you are also a soldier, a very well trained soldier from what I can see. (being a Sunday school teacher, etc.).

I have to remind myself this a lot of times, but we have Jesus Christ on our sides, and because we have this amazing privilage of holding that name, Satan fears us. Satan fears YOU. He's terrified of you and the possibilities you have inside of you. Personally, I believe Satan strikes us down the hardest when we are very close to doing something great for God. He will attack us with so many arrows, we'll lose sight of what our missions are, and we'll start trying to gain back ouur footing on the battle field.

The other thing I suggest is this, and this goes out to any other person reading this. Be on the offense! Take a look at the Armor of God. Lemme think, there's a helmet, a belt, a gauntlet, a breastplates,....and, oh yeah! A shield! How did I forget that!? But anyway, look at these items. All of these items are not weapons, but aree equipment for defense. We only have one weapon mentioned in the Armor of God, and that is the Sword of ruth, which is the Word of God (the Bible). Hobbie, this is your only weapon you and any of us have. Use this weapon against the enemy, even when it seems so hopeless.....and above all things never lose hope.

Romans 5 says that through our sufferings comes perserverance, perseverance, character, and character, hope, and hope does not dissapoint us because it is a Gift from God's love through His Holy Spirit.

I have never gone through such turmoil as you. That I have not, but as young as I am, I do know what it feels like to feel hopeless, and forgotten, forsaken, and alone. That is the most tormented feeling in the world, indeed, but yet, there is always a little voice in me. A small, and dim light, always forcing me to pull through. Not to give up. To keep the faith, and to push on all the harder.

Oh yeah! Joyce Myers does rock! Dat is tha woman! And, maybe you should check out another church. You should not have a person telling you such naive things. He could be leadin the whole flock astray that way.

So, I beseech you, do not lose your hope or faith in God. He will never let me....excuse me.....He will never let YOU down. Keep the faith, Hobbie, and you will never go wrong. Oh yeah, and you're very blessed to have a husband stand with you as well. Make sure ou let him know how much you appreciate him. God bless always, and I pray you win your particular battle.

I'm sorry that you have been undergoing such an attack. Personally I have a lot of problems with attacks from demons. A friend told me some time ago that if I was being attacked then I had to be doing something good for the kingdom of God.

I took my youth group to something similar to the Judgement thing you were talking about. The one we go to is called Hell Escape. This year we had 3 kids saved just out of the 13 we took. It stages a drinking and driving accident that kills 5 people with a 16 yr old drunk driver, and he takes his own life. You follow his own journy into hell. It is scary. But God has blessed it and has brought kids to him by it. I know that doing something to help with bringing people to Christ will warrent attacks from the enemy. Just remember. You're gonna go into the enemies camp and take back what he stole from you.

Hobbie may God bless you and heal you from your suffering. You know the Bible says that satan comes to rob, kill and destroy. Who better to rob, kill and destroy than God's children. You! You are God's child and he hates that. I once heard an awesome minister say "If you a worried that you aren't saved, you are. No person who isn't saved worries whether or not they are saved." When you were a non-believer were you worrying about that? I sure wasn't.

I also agree with what sweet song said, sounds like you have something physically wrong. I also believe something is spiritually wrong. I don't mean that you are not walking right with God but maybe you are under spiritual attack because you are walking right with God.

I will keep you in my prayers also. I know God hears and answers prayers. Yours sounds like a battlefield and so it may take a while for it to get answered because God's angels have to keep fighting the demons to get to you with the answer. The more prayers added though, means more angels to fight.

ask Jesus to pray for you
