In Texas there is a radio station hosted by two gay men, and once everyday day they play a requested song, it doesnt matter how bad the song is, how lame the song is, it just has to be a song. They were searching for a song to play and one of the christian men that was doing a temporary job at the radio station went into his car and pulled out the MercyMe cd. He gave it to the two gay men and they played ,"I Can Only Imagine" although they were making fun of the song, many people called in an asked if they could play it again, and many people said that it touched them, now that is a regular song that they play.

Also in New York they played that song, even in Alaska, all over secular radio stations. And the radio station that is in Alaska is 98.1 and it is a BAD radio station, they played it on there. Why is this song so popular in the secular world?? I mean its not like its got that catchy of a beat, it is totally a God thing. MercyMe followed the will of God, and in return here is what they got. I think that is so awesome, what do you think? :)

This has got to be the song that has moved me the most . I get such a blessing eveytime I hear it. They are playing it on a secular radio station here in Az too. The first time I heard on this station it it blew me away that I would be hearing it on there. We were in a store and I heard it. Who knows what God will do and how he can use this song for his glory.. Amen

I was in a closeout home outlet store the other day and they had the radio tuned to a secular junk station out of Memphis when, to my shock, "I Can Only Imagine" came on. So different from other artists that have tried to crossover that have been in CCM that have compromised their ministry.

Alaskan Chick... I don't know anything about the song you are talking about. I was just wondering where in Alaska you live? We lived in North Pole, Alaska (right outside of Fairbanks) for three years and traveled all over the state. I have even been on the Bering Sea (while it was frozen) in a type of Van. When I found out where we were, I was freaked. A van load of us were fooling around and just driving when I saw a ship in the ice and commented on it. That is when I was told where we were. Sorry to get off topic here but just wanted to ask a question.

This same song is played on secular radio here in Atlanta as well. In fact, they often told their listening audience that "Mercy Me will be in concert here coming soon at such-and-such church." Amazing to me!

Then, just yesterday my lovely bride and I were at Circut City and it was playing over the stores sound system. Then a totally secular song came on after it...

      You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose.       I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
