The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. The Ethiopian eunuch read the scriptures and Philip asked if he understood what he read. His reply was, "how can I except some man guide me." The Lord will use men to teach you things. How do your children learn? From watching you (Seems they pick up the bad stuff more  ). But the only way you will understand stuff is if God opens your eyes. Psalm 119:18 says open mine eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law and then verse 130 says the entrance of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple. The reason alot of people say that they "only follow the Lord and let him teach them" is cause they are rebellious and will not submit to the authority of a pastor in a local church.

Hello Car54WhereRu,

I do not mean to get off topic here but you say something in your last sentence that I been wondering about of course I got my own thoughts but it do not hurt to get others opinions right. You said the reason alot of people say they only follow the Lord and let him teach them is cause they are rebellious and will not submit to the authority of a pastor in a local church.

My question is how far do that pastorial autority go. I mean I seen pastor who want to control every aspect of your life. I think it go to far sometime and can tear homes apart cause pastors get in the middle of things. I mean the word say husband is head of household not the pastor of church but have experienced such pastor before and do not think it biblical of them to go beyond the bounds of the church. But what i've seen is pastor's ursurping the authority of individuals homes and they have not been rightly given that place of authority and to me it is an abuse of their position to push they wills and desires upon you within this manner i mention here.

i have struggles from past that do mess with my head trusting those in authority among other issues going on at the same time but I am willing to submit to teachings of local church if they are truth but if I can't go in and out the church finding green patures and still waters to eat and drink because they want to make you their personal servants well I just can't find peace in that and think pastor's put more on people than what God requires of them to. Am I off base or do I got some validity to what I asking. The churches in my area are terrible in this avenue. And most of them are full of women and not many men. Which make me think as scripture say in timothy about silly women being taken captive. Do the pastor's get such a foothold on the women in they marriages that they follow the pastors and leave husband behind making pastor soul authority or dictator in their lives. I just don't want to be a silly women but balanced.

thanks

Any truth that I come to must come from the Holy Spirit, since He is the one who has been uniquly tasked by the Father to do that in the lives of believers. However, as Marnie pointed out above, the Holy Spirt supernaturally gifts individuals in the body of Christ to carry out this function. Thus it is ultimately the Spirit that teaches, but we are the vessels He sues to accomplish this, when the body is functionlng properly

And therein lies the caution to believers. We are to discern truth from the Holy Spirit and the Scriptures, but all too often seek the "majority opinion". We accept the "credentials" of those who teach us as being "supernaturally gifted" all too readily without testing those spirits. John was warning against the intrusion of false teachers, even those coming in "Christ's name", instructing us to hold fast to our annointing and revelation from the Holy Spirit first and foremost.

I have not taken this verse out of context unknowingly, but instead I find it very intruiging in it's message.

What is your opinion of it's statement?

1 John 2:27

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you,

and ye need not that any man teach you:

but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie,

and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

in Christ,

-CC-

In order to properly understand a particular verse, we need to look at the whole context not just part. Starting from verse 18 of 1 John Chapter 2, John was warning his children (his disciples) of the antichrist spirit. This spirit has crept into the church and John wanted them to be vigilant and not be taught by anyone except by the Holy Spirit that abides in them. Thus, by saying "ye need not that any man teach you", John meant the man with the antichrist spirit. That is the full meaning of 1 John 2:27. It does not, I repeat, it does not apply to the teachers (who have the Holy Spirit) in the five-fold ministry.

The anti-christ spirit is every spirit apart from the true spirit of the living God the Father. Let God be true and every man a liar. The anti-christ spirit which is Satan himself the prince of the power of the air is in the world and has been since the serpent in the garden came and brought temptation to mankind this spirit is in the world and in the church it manifest in the flesh just as Holy Spirit of God will in Jesus Christ is come in the flesh manifest itself in the believers life it is called walking in the Spririt as we confess Jesus is in us the hope of glory. Even the word teaches us that Satan himself transforms and an angel of light and also "his ministers" transforms into minister's of righteousness and these minister's do not confess Jesus Christ come in the flesh and says this is the anti-christ spirit. And those that do this do not practice nor advocate a changed lifestyle in the church. This is anti-christ spirit.

The anti-christ spirit promotes the natural man the old man unregenerate before God the Spirit of the Father the Spirit of truth promotes and advocates Jesus Christ come in the flesh and brings a change to one's life called being made a new creature in Christ Jesus also the new man created in Christ Jesus. The anti-christ spirit which is satan wants us to stay in that old nature we were born with from our parents the old nature earthly identity in the family of the earth. But Spirit of our Heavenly Father wants us to identify with His nature the divine nature that can be imparted to a person who wants to be born again hence the spiritual family of God and be taught of God in His ways hence a new family spiritual in nature, one new man, the new creature the divine nature of God residing in us. Christ in us the hope of glory is the mystery revealed or made known unto mankind anything apart from this is anti-christ spirit the spirit of the devil himself.

Did I say anything else in my post contrary to your response? Is my I.Q. getting low  or am I just missing anything?

i take that scripture at face value as it was the one the Lord gave me while praying for those who think we must be taught by men to survive....... from the moment i was saved it was one on one with me and the Lord being filled with the Holy Spirit, it always amazes me how people do not understand the Lord Jesus lives in Us and how they think they need others to lead and quide them.......... now don, t get me wrong........... there are annointed leaders to help us along in our walks............. but so many never ever know the Lord for themselfs.........which is sad indeed............ Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. (matt.23:10)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
