Hate to say it -

But I am sure you will get your chance.

Did you see t he headline about the Arab children in Nazereth who got killed by the Hezbollah rockets are being called martyrs?

There's your responsibility, Amor.

Not too sure of your point here. I'm not a supporter of either Hezbollah or Hamas both vicious fundementalist organisations. What I criticise is the brutality and indiscriminate nature of the Israeli response.

Really...............hummmm its awful funny the only time you seem to bring up anything about it is when your talking about Israel.

And Hezbollah or Hamas aren't being indescriminate and brutal?

Those missles they launch have no aim and contain pellets meant to shoot through people outside the blast area.

Of course they are, but I repeat I'm not here to defend Hamas or Hezbollah. Firing missiles at or indeed killing in any other way civillians be they Lebanese or Israeli; Jew, Christian, Mulim Jew or Atheist is an evil act.

Probably because this place is not noted for threads applauding the or trying to excuse the thuggery of Hamas and Hezbullah. And I'm sure that others will agree that I have also been quite forthright in my condemnation of the Anglo-American invasion of Iraq. So Israel is not my only concern.

If you actually bother reading the article I posted you will also note that Fisk has no sympathy for Hezbullah and its Iranian and Syrian backers.

Wow!

Hey River, it has been a while, huh?

Good to see you.

Israel will do what it wants despite what the news reports. They have a unique way of getting the job done regardless of who says what. I reckon that comes with having to live with this stuff everyday. Who are we to say what they should do about their problem? I don't remember any calls from Israel to show "restraint" when we were attacked in 2001. We should show our dear friends the same courtesy and let them deal with Hezbollah and Hamas. Years of Israel listening to us and the world has led to the problem in the first place. We diplomatically tie their hands at each turn, although we say we stand with them.

What kind of talk is that?

Sometimes, it's kinda hard to blame the arabs for their tactics because they work so well on the world stage. All they have to do is create a problem, get on their box and scream. The world, of course, will listen every time.

Nothing Israel ever does will change that, so they have to forge ahead without 98% of the world's support.

Lebanon would not be a target if they would not allow Hezbollah there in the first place. Lebanon is either allowing them in to operate or powerless to stop them from coming in. One of the two.

Either way, they have proven themselves to be ineffective to handle the situation. If they really wanted them out, they will stop crying on TV and join the fight to rid their own country of Hezbollah. Now, how deep will their commitment be? I guess that remains to be seen. I'm betting my stash that the Lebanese Government will do nothing to help rid their own country of Hezbollah. Their best bet is to step back, let Israel handle it, and then reap the bennies of the US money that will pour in to rebuild southern Lebanon when the fighting is over.

In the mean time, Israel is a little tired of being bombed and having their soldiers kidnapped. So what is the answer?

Perhaps they should give up more land? That worked like a peach, huh?

The answer is painful to understand but so glaringly simple: We have to deal with those that set up and fund these groups.

For those that squeal about our troops in Iraq: have no fear. They will be coming home soon for a much needed rest. During this rest, they will prepare for the invasion of Iran. As long as the leadership remains the same in Iran, the hammer will continue to remain cocked and loaded over their heads.

Trying to eliminate Hezbollah without dealing with Iran and Syria is like wiping the pus out of an infection without taking the antibiotics to kill it. It simply has to be dealt with at the source. And, like any infection, you have to take the entire prescription for it to work, not just until the symptoms go away. Band-Aids and meaningless treaties will always fail, as they have in the past.

I'd like to see Syria and Iran come to terms with this without us having to deal with them through arms. That would be nice, but as things look today, it's going to be a hard sell.

I pray for all the people in that area in the hopes that God will have mercy and put an end to the fighting.

In Him,

t.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
