MT 2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

Strong's;

Herod - g2264 - heroic

privily - g2977 - secretly

diligently - g198 - to know accurately, to do exactly, to investigate diligently

When read with the meanings applied;

MT 2:7 Then heroic (Herod), when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

How does this apply to me?

Wise men seek the Lord. But in this present generation, the authentic Christian appears to be very foolish in the eyes of organized religion. When the heroic religious leader, while looking at the Christian through the eyes of the world, sees what to him is the non- Christian behaving foolishly, he calls him to the side in private. Not realizing that he is speaking to a genuine Christian, he rebukes the Christian in secret. The implication is that this priest did not teach the Christian these "out of the box" conceptions, so he had best stop being foolish and fall back into step with traditional theologies. The priest has not realized that he is the one who has been deceived, believing merely the things another man has taught him, and never experiencing the Lord for himself.

MT 2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

Strong's;

Bethlehem - h965 - house of bread

diligently - g199 - to know accurately, to do exactly, to investigate diligently

worship - g4352 - ......... expression of profound reverence, to make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication

When read with the meanings applied;

MT 2:8 And he sent them to house of bread (Bethlehem), and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

How does this apply to me?

The religious heros of the world would send me to search

diligently

for Yeshua, the young child. They would have me to seek the knowledge and understanding of the young child, the amount of knowledge Yeshua had before he had his experience at the temple at the age of 12 years. They would have me to witness to them the knowledge of Yeshua the young child, and if I should find the knowledge and understanding of Yeshua the anointed man, they will silence that knowledge as quickly as possible, to prevent me from overthrowing their wicked leadership. But all the while they say and do not do the worship of God that they say they do.

MT 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

Strong's;

heard - 191 - ....... consider what is or has been said, to understand, perceive the sense of what is said ............. to comprehend, to understand

MT 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

How does this apply to me?

When I took the time to actually consider what has been said from the pulpits of religion, and at the same time began to understand the scriptures, I

perceived the sense of what they are saying.

Immediately I departed from organized religion, and greater and greater enlightenment stood over where Yeshua the young child was as a child, compared to where Yeshua the man was when his time had come to reveal himself to the world.

MT 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

Strong's;

saw - g1492 - ... to perceive by any of the senses ........ to turn the eyes, the mind, the attention to anything, to pay attention, observe ........ to ascertain what must be done about it ........ to know, get knowledge of, understand, perceive of any fact, the force and meaning of something which has definite meaning

MT 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

How does this apply to me?

When I turned my full attention to the enlightenment of the Lord, I saw the baptism in his name. I understod it for the very first time. I understood that I must be saturated I everything that parthians to his the mention of his name, baptized in every piece of information that I could find about Yeshua Christ, because therein is true salvation baptism. My rejoicing is great and unending from that day forward.

MT 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Strong's;

Herod - g2264 - heroic

When read with the meanings applied;

MT 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to heroic (Herod), they departed into their own country another way.

How does this apply to me?

The verse says that God, instead of a messenger of God, warned the wise men in a dream not to go back to Herod. Therefore they did not go through Herod to return to their own country. This would have been what the medical field calls a lucid dream. It is the kind of dream that is experienced as though the events in it were actually happening. The Lord warns those who listen to him, when someone who will separate them from God has crossed their path.

MT 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to let him add Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for heroic Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Strong's;

Joseph: 2501- let him add

Egypt - 125 - double straits (the printed Strong's says siege, dual limits of something hemming)

Herod - 2264 heroic

When read with the meanings applied;

MT 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to let him add (Joseph) in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into double straights (Egypt), and be thou there until I bring thee word: for heroic (Herod) will seek the young child to destroy him.

How does this apply to me?

God protected the wise men through their obedence to do as God had told them to do. The husbandman is the shepherd, the caretaker, the leader and adviser of the body of people, whether small or large.

The verse pictures God as the shepherd of all men, and Joseph as the husbandman of their rebellion and her children, under God's instructions. We are to let God add "all these things" after we have sought and found the kingdom of heaven.

In the growing and strengthening process of a Christian family, or church congregation, the husbandmen are commanded by the Lord to take their rebellion (the mother of salvation) and her children (the entire body of salvation) into a self imposed siege until the Lord calls them out again. This siege is supposed to have dual limits. Surrounding themselves with a spiritual barrier, nobody is allowed out. On the other hand no other people are allowed in. The body of the family, or congregation, have deliberately put themselves under siege because the Lord commanded it. Obedience to follow this advice will protect that family from the enemy during the time it takes for this work of the Lord to be accomplished.

I remember all the times I took part in self imposed sieges with a congregation of the religious. We called it fasting and prayer. The fast that we fasted was the abstaining from meals of food during the period of time that we were in prayer. As I recall, most of the people who participated went right back into one spiritual prison or another immediately after the fasting and prayer had run it's course.

That tells me that we had not done what we were supposed to do.

MT 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Strong's;

Egypt - 125 - double straits (the printed Strong's says siege, dual limits of something hemming)

When read with the meanings;

MT 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into double straits (Egypt):

How does this apply to me?

Like other stories in the scripture, the reports of events in the life of Yeshua are type and shadow examples for the body of Christ to follow in the procedure of the growth of Yeshua's kingdom.

God had commanded Joseph to "Arise". God's command to all men and women is, --

YOU rise up! Stop waiting for me to do what I told YOU to do! --Those among us who have matured, wholly conformed to the will of God, are commanded to take this young church wide salvation, and their rebellion against false doctrines who mothered him, into a deliberate diligent dual siege.

That stronghold breaking siege is the chosen fast of the Lord, found in Isaiah 58. And the entire congregation is supposed to stay in that Isaiah 58 fast until the Lord calls us out of it. The reason that we "go by night" is that until we understand what we are doing and the effect it will have on us later, we are "in the dark"about it, uninformed.

MT 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Strong's;

Herod - 2264 - heroic

Egypt - 125 - double straits (the printed Strong's says - a siege, dual limits of something hemming)

When read with the meanings;

MT 2:15 And was there until the death of heroic (Herod): that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of double straights (Egypt) have I called my son.

How does this apply to me?

When we fast the chosen fast of God as an entire body, whether family or congregation, we each break every yoke that we are personally responsible for having put upon another member of that body. Each man lifts every heavy spiritual burden that he has placed on another man. Each person lets the man he has been oppressing go free. The whole congregation body takes every step given to us from Isaiah 58:6 through the whole list of instructions. And while they are doing all of this, the spirit of Herod dies out from among them.

When we go into this siege, we are young children in Christ, but when God calls us out of such a fast, we are Sons of God.

The fact that God called Yeshua out of Egypt through calling his caretaker out of Egypt is type and shadow of God calling the body of Christ out of having performed his chosen fast to it's completion.

MT 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
