Kansas minister takes a stand

He ran a radio program with one of the most vile men that has ever walked the face of this earth. As for what it will do to his ministry, I guess we'll have to see in the upcomming months. This man, his partner in the radio program, is being exposed tomorrow so it should be interesting to see how this affects Joe.

I'm kind of curious, who is this man he works with?

This is just a recent development.

I'll post the article that comes out either tomorrow or next Monday that announces he was forced to resign for legal, moral, and biblical reasons.

This is actually several years old, unless someone did it again.

This is almost word for word what I heard on the Paul Harvey show years ago, probably 10 years or more.

It is really too bad. Think of all of the damage that he is going to end up doing to this message. Our lives speak more than our words. If you can't walk the walk you better be quite until you can.

But I think it relates to the post you made on another thread apo about the qualifications for an overseer and why those are SO important, and I think as believers we must demand them of our leaders.

He was actually removed (asked to resign) for violating 12 of the 14 qualifications. I'm going to make a bigger post about it once it goes public to show how the church handled this correctly.

dont matter if it is true or not, it is gossip if it is not bringing him back into the fold....

the previous postings have the sound of "look at what i know...." or " I know something you dont know"...

if it is not edifying, exhaulting God, or helping or correcting this man, ( if indeed the atricle is factual ) it is gossip.

if this is true,

those that know him personally, they need to be ministering to him. those that just know of him, need to be praying for his soul and for guidance, not to start piling up the stones...

But Church discipline is edification of the Body of Christ. Those public ministers who call attention to themselves as public Christian leaders, and want to stand among unbelievers and claim Christ and be Christian leaders they must be held to a higher standard and should be.

Individually yes, this may be gossip, but if you want to stand up in the statehouse, go on radio, and go on t.v. have a huge ministry, than we must as Christians publicly hold these guys accountable. They do horrible damage to the body of Christ. We need only to look at the Catholic Church to see what happens to the body of Christ when things are hushed up, and quietly shuffled away without consequence.

If this minister needs help, I hope he is getting counseled and brought back to Christ. Of course the test of that will be if he, well shuts up and humbly prostrates himself. His job now will be to "seek to become unknown". Can he do that; can he exercise true humility? I hope so that would be a wonderful testimony if he can give up all of the material and public glory to humbly submit himself to a life of quietly serving God out of the public ministry. I hope he can do it with the help of God.

Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning. 1 Timothy 5:20

The purpose in all of it is to show that Joe, who was painted as this man of God for what he said, willingly put himself around this other man even though he knew what this man was doing. That needs to be pointed out so that we don't get misconceptions.

No, but he has been approached in public so it does not matter. No one is free from such exposure when they are unrepentant...ESPECIALLY if they are trying to lift themselves up as godly men or if others are trying.

Thanks for posting this prayer. I, too, have read it before, but it is still a very powerful prayer. I don't know about the brother that prayed it, but I do know this prayer is full of truth. We need to all humble ourselves before the Lord and repent for our nation, weep for our nation, seek revival for our nation.

And daily, pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
