I agree, but judgement starts at the house of the Lord. We need to pray first and foremost for Christians in this country to be humble and repent, and for the Christian church in the US to repent and humble ourselves for our hypocrisy in accusing others of what we are guilty of, and our many sins against the Body of Christ.

Who are we to accuse the rest of the nation of anything, when our own leaders are doing no better than the actions they are accusing the nation of doing?

I just don't know what this thread is saying. Did this pastor do wrong? Or was he wrongly accused of something? What is happening? Please enlighten me.

out of curiosity,

of all the pastors/ministers that have fallen, and then having no one to try and lift them back up..

how many of them placed themselves on the pedistal? and how many of them did we place on these pedistals?

seems to me, the higher the pedistal, the harder the fall.

when a pastor/minister falls, it seems that there are many many many people that loose faith, that are upset that the man no longer "makes the mark"

if the man was approached in public, with out biblical counsel, then the ones that approached him did not follow biblical teaching either....

if the man is wounded, a brother in the Lord is wounded, by all means, let us all grab out sabers and run him through, put him out of our missery..... we do not want wounded Christians around do we? we would be better off with out them. so lets just run them through.

there was recently a pastor that stepped down, of his own free will and accord..... boy did the stories start flying.... all the stories that went flying were from his own congregation, condemning him, blasting him, trash talking him, and when i met one of them a year and half later, he was bitter as all get out, saying it was us guys that put him up on the pedistal..... hmmm, funny, his stepping down concerned me, but not so much i gave up on God..... these people are not not in the church, they do not want anything to do wit hthe church or God, but yet, for some reason i am to blame for them placing this man on a pedistal.... he was and is my friend, not above me on a pedistal, never was, and never will be....

at one time, this man was one of my mentors, because of the treatment from the congregation he has left the area, and people are still trash talking him..... how long will he have to be out of their lives before they stop, they have no idea what his life is like, only what they want to think his life is like...

the minister that is being spoke about, i have no knowledge of anything about him other then what has been printed in the media, i do not know what his life is like, nor what his heart is like, that is not of my concern. mostly what i see when a man stumbles, is people ready to pounce on him with their daggers...

some times i wonder why anyone would want to become a Christian, when they see us killing our wounded.

This Pastor has guts!!

This interesting prayer was given in Kansas at the opening session of

their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people.

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate,

everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and

to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to

those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We

have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.

We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism.

We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of _expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin

and set us free. Amen!"

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church,

where Rev.. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only

47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving

international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea.

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, "The Rest of the Story," and received a larger response to t his program than

any other he has ever aired.

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and

wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called "one nation under God."

If possible, please pass this prayer on.

"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for everything."

:24: Hey everyone this message has been sent to many ppl from all over the place and i just wanted to share this with everyone on worthy... Thankyou and GBU all ~Christ4ever~ :emot-hug:

Amen for Kansans. :24:

You're speaking of the same man I am. He didn't steap down of his own free will. There was a deacon vote to remove him and he lost with 85% of the deacons voting him out. He was shredding papers the day before this happened and those loyal on staff began shredding them this week as well. He was asked to leave for violating moral and ethical models.

He has been approached privately by 15 different people, this does not include the various visits from the deacon body, over the last TWO YEARS. The man does not see any of his actions as wrong, will not admit to them, and most of all tries to destroy anyone who challenges him.

This is the man Joe Wright associated with and started up a radio program with. How much value does that prayer have considering the source?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
