Nebula, we may contribute to the salvation of more people by going on "witch hunts" of this type than by sharing the gospel 24-7. That you apparently consider harsh criticism of Hinn and his TBN partners in crime a bad use of time and resources is very troubling. Do you know how many millions view Hinn and his tomfoolery each week and how many of those go away thinking it really has something to do with Christianity? I venture to say quite a few if his ill-gotten gains are any indication. If believers don't speak out against him then why should they think any differently.

The truth is if what Hinn promotes is truly the good news of Christ, we should all reject Christianity as shallow and useless.

Sweetie, if you don't know the difference between a legitimate para-church group trying to raise funds in a legitimate way and a heretical thief who preys on the ignorant, raking in millions of dollars under false pretenses with absolutely no accounting and who blatantly defrauds followers by hiding under the guise of Christianity, then you need to re-consider your entire perspective. This is not some minor disagreement in doctrine and if you think it is you are sadly mistaken.

If you are willing to include Hinn and his type under the umbrella of Christianity then you should have no problems with JW's or Mormons or even Muslims. As I also recall, you are one of the first to pounce on Roman Catholics and now you mock those who are willing to warn people about Benny Hinn? Do you believe Rome is less orthodox than the circus that is TBN?

I'm sure they don't publicize the findings but this sounds like a step above "accounting" actually.....

Neb, I am full fledged Pentecostal and have been all of my life. I, for one, have not delved into saying anything derogatory about the works of the Spirit. Is Hinn a sinner or a saint? I don't have the answer, but the Bible does say that we will know them by their fruits and, honestly, I simply don't see the fruits being presented. But, on the other hand, is my life what it should be at all times, every day, day after day? We all have to be careful about how we present ourselves to the world.

They do not submit to any of the financial accountibility organizations that normal Christian ministries submit to. I don't know what you are referring to when you say they have an "independent audit" but that implies financial accountibility and I assure you his operation has none.

SW, comparing what Neb is doing to what Hinn has done is not too slick of a move by you. While I may not see the fruits from Hinn, I have seen them from Neb and I, for one, think you owe her an apology. Also, even though I don't think Hinn is the real deal, we need to be cautious in saying someone is anointed by Satan.
