I just do not understand your mindset in general. You used the word fear mongering if one preaches on hell. You denied the existence of hell. i asked you in another post if they is no hell what are we saved from and you refused to answer. you said i denied your evidence and i saw none. do you believe that their is a penalty for sins.

It seems to me that it is all a love message you are representing and nothing else as if to make the sacrifice of Jesus to be in vein. If there was no hell or penalty of sins then Jesus did not need to come and die on the cross to save us from the penalty of sin which was death eternal damnation in hell for the wages of sin is death. For I really do not know and do not understand you or your mindset. If one is saved they certainly should not be ashamed to say so or not. I just been trying to find out where you are coming from. And you are not giving any clarity in this regards. I don't need an english lesson for i don't have good grammar or english skills and i don't deny that i am dumb in that right. but these are legitimate questions that you are obviously avoiding as far as i see it and i mean no harm nor am i trying to be offensive. but if one says something then they ought to be able to be responded to by others or why else post? my opinions may not mean must but i do have them same as you.

OC you don't give yourself enough credit. You are very intelligent in your posts and in your replies and make some very valid points. Don't be so hard on yourself. Before you posted this I have always been impressed with your own mindset and I still am. My spelling is terrible sometimes but hey, we are all here to support each other in whatever waywe can and I hope you would be kind to yourself. I totally agree with what you have said in this post and couldn't have said it better myself.

The Bible says it's the goodness of the Lord that draws men to repentence. It would, however not be a very loving thing to watch someone walk off a cliff and not warn them. I think when looked at in a balanced way, this is one of those things that we must be led by the Spirit on in each and every witness differently. He'll tell us what to say, if we listen. :21:

Very wise words indeed. The Holy Spirit is my guide and gives me the words and tells me the actions. I am filled with the HS each and every day. Give a smile to the person behind you in line at the grocery store or strike up a conversation, or even compliment a stranger. You will never know how that might affect them and make them feel special even for just a moment. I've done it and witnessed it and most people are very open and I can see their eyes light up. Anyway, I sort of got off the subject.

So back to it, your post was perfectly to the point. At least for me :)

Redeemed098: I’m arguing that 4000 years is the right time. I am asking why wait? Stating because it was appointed. Is nice but where is the lesson learned?

Lets say people were murdered everyday for those 4 thousand years. How come one murder wasn’t enough? Why did we need a bare possible minimum of 1,460,000 murders? 1 murder a day for 4000 years? (example only)

People are still gone of the their rails and still build monuments to worship (false gods) They still mix sex and drugs more than ever now. This is still going on everywhere.

In no means do I intend to centre anyone out for the sake of harm or blasphemy or anything else of the sort. This is a really good example.

The longer he takes in his coming dood, the more people have opportunity to get saved...

Quit your whingeing and get saved.....Youre running out of time...

This argument is used plenty by just about anyone who is attempting to save others. It’s a fail safe catch phrase that protects your behind, how?

You have to be saved now, time is short. But God wants to save as many as possible so he waits. Only one statement can possibly be true the other is what is called a logical fallacy. A logical fallacy is something that can be taken as true because a piece of information is completely over-looked, unrealized and is entirely missed from the equation.

In this instance you have the need to hurry in one hand, on the other you have god taking his time. It’s one or the other, can’t be both. It’s impossible.

What about this statement I’ve heard this before too.

Youre saved by grace dood or not at all...Gods Mercy always precedes his Perfect Judgement...

Mercy is forgiveness, so god is going to forgive everything then torture me? How does this make sense, by all means I’m not whinning crying kicking or screaming. I’m looking for reasoning.

To me this defies logic, it’s like and most people have heard something like this or similar as a parent slapping their kids around and calling tough love.

dood,

You have begun all of your statements and arguments on a wrong premise...You have ultimately decided that there is something WRONG with GOD, simply because you do not like how things have turned out....This is wrong to begin with...How..??? You have placed YourSELF in the seat of JUDGE...YOu have decided that if YOU were God, you would have done things differently..This is all based on your own thoughts and perceptions that God is ultimately WRONG...

dood..!!! God is not the sinner...YOU are...!!! There is nothing wrong with God..There IS however plenty wrong with YOU...You are a sinner....Nothing will change that..The typical and common response when you have an accusation leveled at you is to defend yourself..The way to take the focus off yourself is to put the focus on someone else....Lets blame God...!! So you see, you condemn God as an attempt to justify your sins...That is what the sinful nature DOES..It blames God rather than focus on itself....

The sinful nature MUST find someone else to blame...Look at Adam and Eve....!! It was his fault...No it wasnt ..it was hers, no actually it was yours God because YOU gave her to me in the first place...No one is prepared to be accountable..Just like you dood, you will always seek to find someone else to blame..

The only problem with that dood is that no one elses sins will ever excuse your own...We arent talking about tough love here dood..We're talking about sin..

If you think sin is not important to God dood, then I urge you to look to the Cross....

Ill ask you a question dood and I want you to think about it..Dont respond to ME, just think about it and process it...

If God were to wipe out from the face of the earth right now this very instant, every disease, every plague, every drought, every famine, every war and every injustice there is.........How long do you think things would stay that way...???????

There is nothing wrong with God dood, so seeking to condemn him as a means to justify yourself wont work..

One more thing...

One day is as a thousand years with the Lord, and a thousand years as a day..

God isnt affected by time dood....We are..! That is how it is possible for "the time is short" and yet it seems so so long for us. YOUR time is short dood. Gods isnt..You see HE is eternal. He is very patient..No one is as patient as God for patience is one of the fruits of Gods spirit.

You cannot break the law and then turn and blame the lawmaker in your defense....Try that one in a court of Law and see how far you get..!! Much less at the judgement seat of God.

Regards,

Ben.

It's sad that sometimes we Christians treat unbelievers as enemies - it's always "them" against "us." This, of course, is a far cry from what the apostle Paul emphatically states in the fifth chapter of Romans, that, through Christ, all mankind has been reconciled to God, giving each of us the opportunity to receive God's gift of salvation. To put that another way, God's favor and forgiveness have been extended to all people everywhere because of what Jesus did on the cross. That is the good news. He is just waiting for those who don't yet know that to accept that gift and come to the cross in humble repentance. Unbelievers are not enemies to be fought; rather, they are captives to be delivered. Have we Christians lost a sense of graciousness because we ourselves have lost our sense of grace?

Does Jesus tell us to question everything? Now, don't get defensive. I don't ask questions I know the answers to. That's a silly and pretentious thing to do, in my opinion. So I'm asking for YOUR help on this one. Can you direct me to the passage?

my friend it does not matter whether he told you to question eveything because that is human nature and it is how we learn

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
