LadyRaven you are so right....................I was in the WOF movement for years and the things you quote are really what these men teach.

This is something I wrote a while back, it's called Roadmap of a new religion.........It is obvious false doctrine yet people keep giving their money to support it!

Road map of the new religion.

God makes man in his image. He makes him a little god. His name is Adam and he was made on terms of equality with God(KH) Adam was in the presence of God without any consciousness of inferiority(KH) He is not even subordinate to God(KC) He is made a god of earth. He is given all authority of the Earth and he could fly. He flew to space.(BH)

Then God became the greatest failure in the Bible.(KC) Adam sins and gives his lordship authority to satan. Now satan is God of Earth. God cannot do anything because he is bound by spiritual laws. God is on the outside looking in(KC) The only way God can come back in is by making covenents with men.

At the risk of being run out of town-------- I do not disagree with ALL of these statements! Some of them are true. This is the trouble with labelling people---disagree, yes, but to claim that all they say is wrong doctrine? No. I disagree with some people here in Worthy, and they disagree with me too, but on some points--major ones--we all agree. This tendency to label people for some common beliefs reveals to me a fear of such magnitude...almost to hatred. It is very unpleasant to witness.

What in the world do you agree with in there? ALmost every single sentence is absolute heresy if not flirting heavily with such a thing.

You know what, AK? I admit I am mistaken. I jumped the gun when I replied previously. I hadn't read all of those quotes, but read one that I agreed with if expounded on reasonably. I went back and read all of them and I am in agreement that they are out of line with the Word of God as I understand it.

So, I retract my statement about my agreement with the above quotes. My apologies! :emot-hug:

Not a problem. Everyone does that at least once a year.

Luvs ya hun...

Some of that sounded alot like something I read in the counter cult book I'd gotten from CRI years ago. Most of them were outright heretical but some of them were so...strange...that it was just more strange than dangerous (like at one time man could fly). It CAME from a heretical understanding of God and man's nature, however it was at least to me so strange that it ceased to be dangerous in and of itself.

At the risk of being run out of town-------- I do NOT disagree with ALL of these statements! Some of them are true. Surely, some of them, if quoted correctly and in context would be wrong!

Not every single thing that WOF teachers teach is heresy because WOF does not address every single doctrinal issue known to man. However, what it does address is a system of understanding faith, God and man...a theological system based on and filled with heresy.

I agree with you that its dangerous to call everything we disagree with heresy, not all of it is, and not all of the doctrines I find offensive are heretical. A person could still believe the gospel and be saved. But..when it gets into believing in "another gospel" you put people's souls at risk. That is the nature of heresy, it changes the gospel to the point where it is totally incompatible with the way of salvation in the Bible. Word-Faith is one of those cases.

Unfortunately, because it's taught in Charismatic and Pentecostal type churches and those who criticise it typically are cessationists, many mistake an attack on Word Faith as an attack on our more bouncy brothers and sisters. I sincerely disagree with their doctrine but will not call them heretics just because they like to dance around and they believe they need to get an extra work of God to be baptised in the Holy Spirit. Word of Faith, though, is separate and much different than this.

I sincerely extend the hand of fellowship to my more bouncy bretheren (and sisteren), and any who I disagree with who are within the realm of orthodoxy still. I pray for the many who are being decieved, and I pray imprecatory prayers over those who lead the sheep to destruction by teaching them false doctrine. I believe this is what we should do.

Heretical doctrine should be pointed out and teachers of that doctrine should be ostracised, do you not agree?

Yes I do. :thumbsup::wub:

LadyRaven, I compliment you on a good presentation of fact not based on conjecture but supported with references. I have seen many of these type discussions before and they usually end in a heated debate because people approach the discussion armed with opinion and little to no fact supported by references. You, on the other hand, provided references and Scripture. Well done! :D

May the Lord Bless you richly,

Wayne

This is so true!

Thank you for pointing this out.

And I hope people understand.

All these labels are making me dizzy! Now, what is a cessationist? :24:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
