Subject: A good Muslim????

Can a muslim become a good American citizen?

Interesting article

Can a good Muslim be a good American? This question was sent to a

friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his

reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon

god of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his

Allah except Islam (Koran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars

of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which

he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make

friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual

leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America,

the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women

and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American

Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes

the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do

not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot

co-exist.

Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God,"

the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to

as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99

excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation.... perhaps we should

be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot

be both "good" Muslims and good Americans.

Call it what you wish.... it's still the truth.

If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above

statements, perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who

understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future.

Pass it on Fellow Americans. The religious war is bigger than we

know or understand.

First of all, when we're talking about zealots and terrorists, remember that there is a semantic difference to make - "Muslims" are followers of Islam, and "ISLAMISTS" are radicals, jihadist terrorists.

So, that out of the way: did you take a second to consider that most of the "no's" you noted as to why good Muslims "can't be good Americans" would also apply to Christians?

Plus, the quote you attempted from the Koran was wrong (and I know because I have the book sitting open in front of me as I type). Ironically, the citation you made (I assume you were referring to the fourth sura?) refers to suicide - about how you shouldn't do it.

In truth, some scholars of Islam believe that the Koran discourages the practice of taking multiple wives more than it encourages it. The passage that dictates the general policy on the subject for most of those who do take more than one wife says that a man may take up to four wives so long as he can treat them equally. And how is it possible to treat four wives equally? A few translations even make that very statement.

Nevertheless, remember that freedom of religion means freedom for ALL religions, as well as for those who do not claim one (and those who claim more than one).

"Say: My Lord has enjoined what is right. Turn your faces therefore towards every place where he is worshipped, and call upon him with sincere religion. As he created you, to Him you will return." - The Elevated Places (Sura 7:29)

the references to all muslims being labelled as evil is in fact wrong, comin from a muslim background i know that not all muslims believe in killin non muslims, my mother is a muslim however on hearing death of any innocent civilian she is hurt. she does not think that just coz some people are not muslims that they shud be killed.

As a christian i know that islam is way out there..everythin about it is hypocritical..for example a story in the hadeeth (muslim book of stories to rely on) it was quoted that there were two men...one was a devoted muslim, the other an alcoholic, when it came to facin allah the devoted muslim was sent to hell and the alcoholic was sent to heaven, upon askin why, the devout was told it was bacause when walkin along a street and seein an old lady havin difficulty holdin stuff, the alcoholic stopped to help whereas the devout didnt, causin the intellectual mind to think...well if someone is devotin their entire life to allah then they shud go to heaven not be punished for the one mistake they make..in contrast to the alcoholic who spent his life disobeyin allah and then bein forgiven for the one good deed he has done.

comin back to the point..not all muslims are as seriously devoted to allah as they like to think and not many would kill innocent civilians.

being a muslim restricts many from doin things that they would like to do however they feel that by followin a few orders from allah will get them to heaven.

I pray for these ppl as they need prayer, they need to see the light, they need Jesus!

My mum especially.

this very thread was started over a month ago,

the answer is,

NO,

for there are none good, save the Father....

Islam is not a religion of peace. not in the least.....

every one who is not islamic is an infidel and all infidels must be put to death....

they are also taught that it is ok to put up with some one if it will benefit them later in destroying all that is not islam....

as far as people being evil or not........

WE ARE ALL BORN INTO SIN, WE ARE ALL BORN INTO AN EVIL NATURE.....

IT IS ONLY THROUGH CHRIST THAT WE ARE SANCTIFIED......

has this guy that found it been ruled out? or just assumed he did not place it there?

kind of like the guy down in Georgia, placing the back pack bomb on the side walk and then later discovering it or something like that....

I feel that list is not very objective but compelling.

I also feel that it is not fair to single out Muslims, Are we "christians" all as a whole always 100% devoted to God and fully abiding in his will, and are there not people who claim to be christians who are not?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
