KEILAN,.....this was not what I had in mind when I was wondering whether you've ever had a serious discussion on these boards.

I was thinking more along the lines of "whats the meaning of life" type issues. Not, "HEY WHYS THAT MAN GOT DOTS UNDER HIS NAME!!!!!!"

you know this thread is going to end up getting moved too

Haha, well it was serious... just lacking in intelligence

And I have too been in serious topics! I do occasionally look at the advice board :24:

Thanks Ted! I just used your name to confirm it, hehe. In other news... I get an orange name soon :P

WOO HOO!

Just remember, post are not counted if they are posted in the Fellowship Hall. You can post all day in there, but they won't go toward your number.

And, it must be said- a gentle word of caution:

Some time ago, there was a misunderstanding with "ranks" and "colors". It came about because there were some, long since departed, that wanted to pump up their posts by posting simple emicons and little bits of drivel all over the boards. This became a problem and many of those threads were closed down or moved to the Fellowship Hall where posts are not counted.

Also, and much to my blame, there was a running joke around here called the "color wars". It was a mock rebellion against "the evil Purples" and their thread-closing abilities. while it was, for the most part, simple fun and fellowship, it continued to grow to a point where some took offense because of it. The two main reasons were, basically:

1. Some felt that it was only an attempt to pump up our post counts. It was not, but it was perceived to be the case. In actuality, not many of us really care about how many posts we have. But, such is life...and.....

2. There were a few people that were not involved from the beginning that came in and read just a few lines and concluded that the entire romp was of a design detrimental to the blessing of races. In other words, a few thought that it was racism hidden in joke form! Nothing could be further than the truth, especially when you figure in that I am of many races myself! :b:

But, based on those accusations, and a few other things going on, the decision was made by all of us involved to "end" the wars and call a "truce".

I give these gentle reminders so that newer people will not be tempted to make the same mistakes while in fellowship here. These things were simple jokes, and nothing more. I mean, how serious can a man be when he is saying things like "Slay the evil Purples and curse the rotten ground on which they make their stand"...? LOL!

The other note about all of this was that some took our words and used them to justify their own disagreements with legitimate actions on the part of the Moderation team. Once the seed is planted, it's hard to keep it from growing, I reckon. Anyway, some used the wars as a chance to barely hide their real feelings of being "burnt" by some of the Mod's actions.

Our Moderating team here is one of the best out there, without a doubt. There are something like 9 Mods here to watch over the threads of thousands of members. That, to me, is one heck of a responsibility! The Watchmen help, but we cannot close threads or ban people. In truth, George felt that oversight was needed over the Moderation team and created the Watchmen to do just that. Not that the Mods were doing the wrong things, but he did want to kill any misconceptions out there that the Mods might not have any oversight in their moderating actions. So, in effect, the Watchmen watch the Mods to make sure that their actions are in accordance with the TOS and SOF.

I only say all of this for one reason: Focus.

Our focus here should always, and I mean ALWAYS, be on our risen Savior. Each one of us (Christians, that is) has the awesome responsibility to present Jesus to the world in everything we do and in all the words we use. While good, clean fellowship certainly is a part of that, somewhere along the line, the focus shifted slightly from Christ to simple fun, generally speaking.

We must never lose our focus, nor our strength of heart to lift Christ above all else. To Him we owe our allegiance, and to Him we must answer.

There are those who have never heard the Gospel, or, have never heard the Gospel the way God intended it, and if we lose focus at the wrong moment- we may just lose that one person who was knocking at our door.

My Brother, let's carry on in faith and in fellowship, and let's always have laughter in our hearts. The world is a cold, hard enviroment, and God has placed laughter in our hearts to warm us. And with that in mind, we must always regulate ourselves so that Christ is seen in every last post we make.

So, as I go back to the Hall to dismantle this little "Macstoogie" rebellion which has turned hearts against my dominion (Sorry, I couldn't help it.... :24::24::thumbsup: ), you just keep reading this long post that I made to buy me time to wreak havoc within your rebellion....

:P

God Bless!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
