i watch this show almost all the time and almost everytime i watch it, i wonder to myself if what these people are doing is right. of course they use a lot of things found in scripture and all but then there some stuff that aren't. especially the one i watched today . .they had beaurocracy(sp) and all. i mean . . . they had a "judge angel" and they had an angel of angels and all that. Monica had her "powers" taken from her

maybe i shouldn't be asking this cos it might not even be a Christian-backround show but then it takes some material from scripture. my thoughts are a little scattered right now (as always ) so i will just let u guys tell me what u think about this show.

peaches, I think that this show is a prime example of compromise. Compromising so that the world will accept our "religion." Just my opinion, of course, but I have never heard the name of Jesus mentioned on the show. Maybe it has been and I just wasn't watching at the time. I used to think it was a good show, but now, I'm not so sure.

It is good to have positive, family-safe, moral value shows. I do not think this show claims to be solidly Evangelical. I have noticed unscriptural theology. We need discernment. I would rather watch it as a family and pick out the positive, accurate stuff and then point out areas that are not in line with Christian theology.

e.g. an episode about homosexuality and Aids made it sound like God blanketly forgives everyone without the need for a Savior or repentance and faith.

I wonder if there is a Mormon influence from some of the shows producers?

i think i agree with u trav . . . compromise is what i see too. the mormonism thought kinda creeps me out. i hope its not that. but then again . . u never know . . . wolf in sheeps clothing right.

That would not be politically correct in a pluralistic society (?!). I think there are believers involved with the show, but it would be a mistake to assume it is or should be overtly Biblical Christianity. It is not a Billy Graham production or anything like that. What would the advertisers think if Jesus was mentioned? That might offend someone (sarcasm).

That's true godrulz. I remember when it first came out it was pushing the envelope as it was just by mentioning God. But then angels became so popular that the show really took off. Unfortunately, I think the population in general thinks this show is about Christianity.

It's hard to find a show with good family values these days. At least this one has a moral point to it.
