Marnie, I'm really not being rude, just a bit thick at times. Why do you have to wear a locator for protection?

Actually it is because of a previous career I had in gov't service. I carry around information in my head that would be useful to some nasty people. So, for my protection, the authorities know where I am 24/7. I had the option to take the implant or the locator necklace or anklet. I chose the latter, because hopefully in the near future, certain miscreants will be behind bars or burning in hell.

So for me, this technology has allowed me to live on my own, more or less, with a measure of freedom I wouldn't have otherwise.

they've been testing this on willing military personnel for over a decade already. i've said that before. the publicity about it is the only "new" aspect of the government testing of the microchip.

This isn't "fait accompli" YET! However, for it to have gone this far, it must certainly be under consideration. Actually it is amazing that there is any publicity about it at all at this stage as I don't remember any publicity or consultation when the US military decided to compulsorily take DNA samples of all their troops - "eons" ago now - and that is something that puts them in the same category as criminals. So I wonder what the reaction will be to this.

Actually, we now carry new fangled ID cards with smart chips in them which will eventually carry a lot of info. It already carries quite a bit, but we are still waiting on computer software to catch up.

Personally, if the implanted chip becomes mandatory, I'm turning in my retirement papers.

Although we are expected to carry out orders, the presumption is for us to follow orders as a rule so that following orders becomes second nature during the heat of battle. In other words, we don't want a whole lot of debate when telling someone to do something while the beans are flying.

Yes, we do pledge to refrain from excercising certain rights (the myth of "giving up" certain rights is a misnomer- nobody actually, or legally, gives up any of their rights as citizens by entering military service) when we sign the dotted line, but that does not mean that we cease to become living, breathing human beings.

If the day comes where this becomes mandatory, they can carry on without me.

Well, this is not exactly an "update" as now it is about six weeks old, July. I found the link to it on my email, my sister sent it, and I suspect that it has been there a while as I haven't checked my email for some time as we all share the folder and it gets so junky with my son's emails about cars and all sorts of motor vehicles and "logging news" and my husband's emails about famous battles and electronic catelogues etc. But:

Don't you think that taking an RFID chip (which BTW can also be a tracking device as well as a "total control" device) would be the same as being branded by the state as its property. Therefore your allegience belongs to mans' government?

And the Bible does say that it is impossible to serve two masters.
