You know that the Gaza stripe eviction of the Jews happened prior to the big storm. Our president agreed with the eviction. Wow, Look how many people can not return to their home land. Real strange. I think we need to remain a blessing as a nation for Israel and not side with the enemy concerning anything.

Why didn't Katrina hit burban (cant spell) street. Thats the nastist place!! Why the poor people. But I believe the just died along side the unjust. We are no different. And the just and unjust in some cases were spared.

We as a nation should turn to prayer and not patriotism to get us through everything that has rocked us. What happened to good old fashioned repentance and revival?? We need revival.

Nice to see someone who actually recognizes Katrina for what it was. To say it was to destroy New Orleans for immorality is totally unbiblical and was simply used as a tool to highlight events in the city to rest of world. The things that go on in New Orleans happen in just about every city around the world.

People who like to think Gods target was New Orleans conveniently leave out a few other facts such as failing to mention thousands of miles of coast line and other countries that were hit just as bad if not worse. Some small towns along coast line were completely flattened and destroyed, were these places just as immoral as New Orleans? I doubt it.

If you want a Biblical reason for Katrina then you have to look at Israel, only place on earth that is important to God is Israel. We are told that anyone who messes with Israel will suffer Gods wrath 1,0000 fold , likewise anyone who helps Israel will be blessed 1,000 fold.

A day or two before Katrina hit, the removal of Jews from the Gaza Strip was completed., over 8,000 settlers had been forcibly moved from their homes, a process demanded by Bush and the USA as part of the on going peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians God wasn’t happy at the removal of Jews from their land, so he punished the USA by making just over 800,000 Americans homeless. Israel had to find homes for 8,000 of their people and USA had to deal with a 1,000 times as many.

Of course it could have just been a natural disaster, but the timing and events in Israel suggest otherwise.

Nebula I am glad you understood what I was typing! LOL. I had to go back and find that mistake. Looks like I need to proofread! And Andrew does it actually say in the Bible that Israel is the only place on Earth that is important to God?

Unless there is another country or region mentioned in the Bible where God returns the Jews to their homeland and to form a nation once more . Is there another place mentioned as a possible location for The Golden Temple and place that The Lord Jesus Christ will sit and rule over the nations.

But there is no other place other than Israel. Israel is the land and home of the Jews which God will protect and ensure that it remains in Jewish hands. If Israel is destroyed and wiped out, which is what all the nations surrounding Israel wish, then the remaining Prophecies in The Bible will not be able to be fulfilled.

Look at the wars waged against Israel. Israel beat the Arab nations against all the odds, doesn

Andrew- I thought that all people who are followers of God are his people. So you are saying that if you are not a Jew than you will not be protected by God the same? It seems as though you are saying that God will take care of the Jewish people first and give them a better treatment than the rest of the world. I believe God loves all of his followers the same. Please help me understand this subject more.

God has a special love for the Jewish people, always has. The more time you spend in the Word, the more you'll understand. He's made eternal covenants with them, some because of a certain individual's belief in Him, some just because He chose to. No matter what they did or how they rebelled, He always stayed true, always kept His Word. It doesn't mean He doesn't love us as much, but rather, it's a beautiful illustration(it's alot more, but it's this too)of how He wants us to know He loves each one of us who call Him Father, that no matter what we do, He'll always keep His Word, always love us. Read the Book of Hosea. This may give you some more insight as to what I'm talking about.

Thanks Billie! I will definitely have to read up on it. Although I kind of understand you my mind is still saying that all of God's love is disbursed evenly. I need to study before I can really argue my point any more though.

In the bible, it does say those who bless Isreal shall be blessed and those who curse Isreal shall be cursed. Those nations that curse Israel or go against what God has prepared for it are in for a curse.

Our president aligned himself against Israel and sided with her enemy to allow them to have their own land-when that land doesn't belong to the pallestinians. He believed that it was right to evict the Jews from the land that God gave them.

We are not expressly saying that the eviction of the Jews from that land was the cause, but it is a curious thing to think on.

I think that a president or leader can open Judgement onto the the land they run by the actions against Israel. Are there righteous among those people: you better believe it. From the beginning of time: God till believes that nations should repent of their wrong doings- do you see that openly happening-No.

I know of no other nation that is treated this way, has always been this way.

You're welcome, sweetie. :emot-pray: I know what you're talking about, too. Some things I read some people write along these lines makes me think,"Wait! That's not fair! God loves me too!" And that's true. He does love me too. He's got love enough for all of us, more.

It's kind of like He's our dad and we're kids. He promised to play Monopoly with our brother alone and we want to be included in the game. We can't understand why we can't play too. The problem in His ways and thoughts are higher, like of the parent's to the child's. The child doesn't see to the future where the father will have enough time(love)to spend with all his children.

I hope I'm making sense to someone besides me. :24:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
