im a christian with an attitude.

but to paraphrase the bible God said, "its my way or to hell with ya"

First people need to understand what hell is . .its eternal separation from Christ were there is eternal torment and all that stuff. Last week i was watching this preacher who mentioned that its strange how everyone wants to go to heaven but then they don't want to believe in the one who gets u there. he also said its impossible for everyone who doesn't love Jesus to be n heaven. imagining this scenario . . . being forced to live in a house with someone u absolutely want to have nothing to do with and seeing a whole bunch of people around Him worshipping Him in reverence and total complete love. it just wouldn't work. the person would feel out of place !!

people, being human, tend to take scripture and read into it what it really isn't. i KNOW for a fact that God does not want anyone to ever be separated from Him cos He loves us so dearly. He loves everyone more than anything and is nicer than one of those nicey nice people who never seem to get angered by anything. i mean . . . fact is . . Jesus is the only way and for centuries . . .that has been the absolute truth that some unfortunately dont wanna listen to and accept. it hurts to know that some people are just too stubborn to listen to this truth. its absolutely heart breaking that people are only gonna get it when its too late . . the day when we are taken to be with Christ. the day is sooner than ever. i don't understand why people won't believe what the bible says when stuff it said would happen centuries ago is happening right now. what else could be better proof that the bible is truth than that??

I hardly ever talk that way when witnessing, saying that ifyou don't accept Christ you will go to hell. I prefer to dwell on the positive and show people that God loves them and wants to offer them hope and a way to heaven. I think Kenan is right that many Christians are quite proud and boastful and like to lord it over the sinners, and this is one way they do it. Instead of loving people into heaven they try to frighten the hell out of them. Sometimes it works, but rarely. More often than not people will just blow it off as hypocritical holier than thou self righteous gas. People prefer to see a sample rather than to hear a sermon any day. Sometimes it is the Christian turning people off and not the person themselves rejecting the message. I think you are right on about this Kenan, and it's a good lesson for many Christians to get through their thick skulls. :t2:

http://www.religioustolerance.org/bibl_hate3.htm is a good link to explain how this came to be.

Sounds like the politicians in Canada have WAYYYYY too much hands on their time. Instead of spending (wasting) time on this they should focus on murderers, rapists, drug abuse, domestic violence......

The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code.

Section 14 of the Code, as it read at that time, states:

14(1) No person shall publish or display, or cause or permit to be published or displayed, on any lands or premises or in a newspaper, through a television or radio broadcasting station or any other broadcasting device, or in any printed matter or publication or by means of any other medium that he owns, controls, distributes or sells, any representation, including without restricting the generality of the foregoing, any notice, sign, symbol, emblem, article, statement or other representation:

(a) tending or likely to tend to deprive, abridge or otherwise restrict the enjoyment by any person or class of persons of any right to which he is or they are entitled under law; or

(b) which exposes, or tends to expose, to hatred, ridicules, belittles or otherwise affronts the dignity of any person, any class of persons or a group of persons; because of his or their race, creed, religion, colour, sex, sexual orientation, family status, marital status, disability, age, nationality, ancestry, place of origin or receipt of public assistance.

14(2) Nothing in subsection (1) restricts the right to freedom of speech under the law upon any subject. 7

One handful of religious extremists and one handful of homosexual extremists have caused this. It sounds like another case of the media taking something and chewing on it until the flavor is all gone. Once again inciting another battle among God's children -- his heterosexual and gay ones.

I don't know Canadian law, though I hope it's reasonable enough to toss this case out and leave the Bible alone, but I really don't think the USA has anything to worry about.

God Bless!

Smasher - True you are right brother the postive should be preached and God is love. GoD is also Righteouse and He will Judge.

It all comes back to balance I think...preach God's love and show it but also warn of the penalty if one rejects that love and grace He shows.

Balance is what needs to get through thick skulls I think. God's Word preaches balance in all things.

As far as I can tell, the one quoted is a provincial matter, but I believe there may be similar laws on the books in federal law (government of Canada) but the bible is still intact.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
