Jesus said He was THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIGHT and no man comes unto the Father but by Him. That either makes Him one of the greatest liars of all time meaning all Christian hope is in vain, or the words of Christ stand for what they mean. It's eternity we're talking, not what pizza to order!

Yep, the worship of nature and mother earth is not the way to go either. I don't knwo if Wicca accepts this or not. The worship of nature and mother earth is New Age. Be careful on anyone who brings these ideas up no matter how interesting they may seem. This is a trap and it sound great but ends without Jesus or the wrong Jesus who is not our Jesus.

because it doesn't seem to quite make sense is all

Proverbs 1

7The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,

Proverbs 9

10"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Teh Wiccan,

As a former atheist, I too, struggled to make sense of Christianity. Now at that time in my life knowledge was my life's quest and I had been taught that Christianity wasn't for "thinking people". I was really quite stunned the first time I actually read the bible for myself! Then while reading through the bible (as to why I was reading it in the first place that is a long story) I came across the first passage above about knowledge. As I kept reading - it slowly dawned on me that I wouldn't be able to really understand what I was reading until I believed and accepted the Lord. Please don't think this took overnight. I spent 2 years reading and studying the bible - you see, it took me that long because I was so focused on "knowing all the answers" before I would commit to the Lord. When I finally did accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior THAT IS WHEN the Word started to make sense.

Colossians 2

8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

This is one of my favorite passages.

Green Darner,

That's a beautiful testimony! So many treat finding religion like shopping for a new car-looking for options that fit them and leaving alone things they don't like (sexual morality, etc.). Let's keep Teh Wiccan in prayer. I feel like that he's in the valley of decision or he wouldn't be here and that the Lord is going to save this young man and use him greatly.

Heavenly Father, we ask you in Jesus name to remember this young man, Teh Wiccan. Lord, we that no one comes here by accident and that you have laid out plans for his life far in advance. God, we ask that you would deal with this young man's heart and show him the price You paid for our sins, the very best gift, Jesus Christ. Show him, Lord, how much you love him and show him the fullness of joy available to him if he will but serve you. We thank you, Lord, and ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Just to clarify.... Nature isn't worshipped, it is held as sacred... I don't worship trees.

Hi Green Darner!

Specifically, I'll use an example. Person A does something bad to person B, person B never fully recovers. Person A repents, and goes to heaven. Person B, who has a different Religion, goes to hell at the end of a long, painful, difficult life all because of person A.

So the person that did the bad thing goes to heaven, while the person that was innocent and a victim goes to hell? Doesn't quite make sense to me... It seems more likely to be like a paycheck to me. You work hard, you get paid. You work harder, you get paid more. You get rewarded according to your efforts.

If a person repents of their sins, yes, they are granted access into Heaven. The victim is a sinner also standing in need of repentance and if they choose to not accept the free gift offered to them by Christ, they have made their choice.

How do you know when enough good works are enough? To go through life with the wonderment of "have I done enough to please God?" How sad to think that you've worked and slaved all of your life to obtain Heaven only to be turned away because God failed to let you know how many good works you should've performed to get in? How do you when you've done enough works to counter-balance your sins? Teh Wiccan, God has made a simple way. We can never work our way into Heaven. Sin separates us from Him and our own righteousness is as a filthy rag in His sight. Problem is, we keep on sinning also heaping more filth on the rags, filth we can't work off. Jesus, the perfect and sinless Lamb of God died for your sins that you could have payment. Payment has been made for our sins-Jesus kept the whole law in every point without stumbling and then died in our place. Don't wait until it's too late. It's eternity we're talking here-two choices-smoking or non-smoking!

If person b winds up in hell they obviously heard about Jesus and rejected Him. Even a hard life at someone elses hands didn't show them the true path. Person A saw the error of his ways, repented, accepted Jesus for what He did for them. Even though a victim person B was not innocent. Person B was a sinner and didn't ask for forgiveness and accept the true way of salvation. You don't work for it so working harder wouldn't make any sense in a faith based salvation.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
