We do all put differen't meanings to the word cult, but to me it would be any religious group that denies the diety of Christ. The Mormon Church does just that, and I have now come to find out they even believe Jesus and Lucifer were brothers. I have been slow to slap that label on anyone, but from the witness of one of their own representatives, I think it is evident they are a cult.

No not really. On a christian board at least the Christian definition should be the first accepted one. And in our everyday lives. The other definition is like the definition "normal"... it means nothing morally.

The Book Of Mormon is the prophetic words given to Joseph Smith by the Angel Moroni. (Joseph Smith is one of the founders of the Mormon Church)

The Mormon Church does not have a cross anywhere to be seen. This is because they do not acknowledge the GRACE of God as revealed through Christ on the cross. Instead they believe their own works can get them favour with God. In their missions they are set about earning a number of points to elevate them to a higher level in the Temple...They have secret handshakes and all the rest of it too...The Latter Day Saints were founded on Freemasonry..Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were Freemasons when Joseph discontented with the Worlds religion sought God on the True Religion. In his quest for the one and only TRUE religion he encountered an angel from Heaven....Moroni....Now let me remind you of what Paul said to the Galatians.....

"If any man comes to you and preaches a "different" gospel to the one you have already heard, then let that man be eternally condemned. If "I" or EVEN AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN preaches a different gospel to what we have already preached, I will say it again....Let THEM be eternally condemned..."

(Galatians Chapter 1)

Paul even went so far as to say that if HE tried to preach a different message, may he himSELF also be eternally condemned...

We already KNOW that satan disguises himself as an angel of light...Here in the Latterday Saints is your evidence of that scripture. It is also evidenced by Mohammed receiving the Koran from the angel Gabriel. Once again another angel of Light.

Deception is a powerful thing..Those caught in the midst of it do not KNOW it..That is why it is called deception... If you were aware of it happening, you wouldnt be being deceived.

Only God can open their eyes....I have had numerous opportunities to witness to Mormons....I find it completely amazing that their own journey to OUR front doors can be used as Gods plan for THEIR salvation. They are often surprised when they encounter true followers of Christ who claim to be Born Again. You see they find out for themselves that being Born Again is a whole lot different to what their own church tells them...

They do not have communion either...They have what is called Sacrament....They partake in Water and Bread. Not the blood of Christ you see...!!

They dont acknowledge the work of the cross for mans salvation...They must earn their salvation..That is why they come to your door and ask if there is anything you would like done.

Their greatest detriment and the saddest part of all their doctrine is this...They believe that one day THEY are going to be gods too...."AS man IS, God once WAS, and as God IS man will also BE." The same old lie from the garden of Eden.....You can be God. Nothing has changed...There is still Adam and there is still Eve...There is still God, and the many different disguises of the ONE devil.

I was raised a Mormon at a young age. My mother was a Mormon for 26 years before God saved her and she was Born Again. I was Born Again 19 years Later.

Praise the Lord.

A little bit of info that might help you better understand the Latterday Saints so you can witness to them.

(Just how they make that statement, I don't know - did He leave His message incomplete until the 1800's?)

My sister is a 'Mormon' - tho she calls herself a "Latter Day Saint" - LDS.

"Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" ---- Odd that the ONLY church that uses His name is not following him.

I DID ask her if "you and your church believes in Jesus"? She smiled and assured me that they DO, and said, "ahh, Mark - it' the church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints!"

Of course mormonism is a false religion. Enough has been written, spoken and recorded about it to settle the issue in our minds once and for all.

Their CORRECT name of this 19th-century American religion is "The Church of JOSEPH SMITH of Latter-day Saints." I even doubt that they're "saints" by anyone's imagination.....a polygamous founder, a polytheistic god, a "celestial marriage"-caper, a special underwear, a "kingdom of god" to be set up near Independence, Missouri, USA - Zowie, REALLY off the deep end!
