Thanks! By your description alone, I know that I will not need any more info than that. :24:

Steve, Anyone can call on the Help of our Lord. If my child was dieing, I wouldn't call on him at the last minute, I would have called on him at the first symptom. I know where my help comes from. But most of the time (people)call on the name of their idol. Say, like during the aweful storm Katrina- did the idol of Government save the people, no, it let them down, everyone was screaming for the help of the government, yeah they should have been their, but how many people have lived generations on the walfare system trusting in the government-did the government save them-in some situations their life is worse. If they had trusted in God, God would have led them out of that life style and given them his knowledge how to live a better lifestyle. God is not obligated to help those who do not depend on them. They bring it on themselves. As I've stated before, God doesn't like suffering, etc, but, they have chose the god that they will serve. If you were in a life and death situation, what whould you put your trust in. Does it have the ability to save you. Wealth, friends, government, religion, mindsets, nothing apart from God can save a man. A good test of who someone worships, is let them come into a big life trial and see what they are made of. Again, I will say, WE have not because we ask (GOD) not!!. I believe that all people need to throw down all idol worship of anything they have placed above God and turn to the true and living God that is able to save them in any situation. God has only the best in mind for us, if your out of the will of God in your life, it is not his fault.

I thought it was funny when a minister of God was witnessing to an athiest on an airplane and the athiest didn't want to believe in Christ and then all of a sudden the plane hit a big air pocket and the plane was going downward, then the athiest started calling on the name of Jesus, then the minister reminded him of what he had said, He quickly changed his mind and the plane didn't crash.

I've heard during the war in america that the troops were thirst and prayed for water and a spring appeared in the ground or rock or something. God is real, and these things can happen, if you place your faith in Him.

blessings

I'd certainly rather be in Hell, with Hawking and Dawkins and Darwin and Einstein.

So, they are your gods? :24:

No, they are just the people I'd like to spend eternity with =) Who wouldn't want to spend eternity with Dawkins? *swoon*

Sadly, your words will one day come back to haunt you.

Doubtfully. I'm still swooning for my "God", Dawkins. I'd rather be in the Hell for bad people than the Heaven for bad people.

Who is Dawkins??

Anyway--Hell is no party--people exist alone in their terror and pain..there is no camaraderie! It is a place not created for humanity, but for fallen spirits. You don't want to share in their punishment, do you?

Share in their punishment for what? For furthering the cause of science? If so, then, I take hell as a compliment.

Punishment in Hell is for rejecting Jesus Christ. Plain and simple.

I'd rather be in the Hell for bad people than the Heaven for bad people.

My heart is heavy for all those like you Arialia... honestly.

I really do care for you as a person regardless of your response.

I'd rather be with the ONE who loved me (and you) so much that HE sacrificed Himself so I could spend an eternity with HIM.

For me, it isn't about heaven or hell, good or bad. Rather it is about our Creator, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

You choose to remain an enemy of God. You do so by simply ignoring His voice. It is His vocie but it is your choice.

My heart is heavy but I know I cannot argue you into a relationship with HIM. If I could, someone else could argue you out of it. What I pray for you though is that you seek HIM out through the hard questions. Once you do so with a humble heart and open mind, you will experience HIM and begin a lifelong stream of answers to most of your questions.

May the Lord Bless you richly,

Wayne

Oh, right, he's SO good he lets people all ove3r the world suffer. He's so amazingly wonderful, this creator, that despite all he can do, he cannot give everyone shelter, food, and drink enough to live. He's so wonderful he orders the destruction of other people, the murder of people of other cultures, and the eradication of people unlike him. Were he human, world wars would be waged against him. But his "Godly" status makes him impenetrable, in the eyes of his believers. He is wonderful, no matter how evil he truly is.

And yes, you struck a nerve there, thanks for wondering.

There has only ever been one persecutor of Christ....And he is known as satan. The Accuser...Now read your own post again and tell me that those were not accusations against God..Like Jesus said to Peter..." Get thee behind me satan."

You are the serpent in the garden. The serpent allowed satan to speak through him...and so did you. Any accusation against God only comes from satan.

To condemn God in order to justify yourself is to call yourself "God". Are YOU God...? Are you more Righteous, Just and Holy than God..? Then maybe YOU can give me the words of eternal life and save my soul from Hell. Can you do that...??

You cannot be redeemed if you dont see your need for redemption.

Regards,

Ben.

Well, they weren't accusations. I don't accuse unicorns of anything, because I don't believe in them either. I'm merely pointing out that if God would be real, He's obviously not the most wonderful being ever. Maybe to people in first world countries, but not to people with no food or water or shelter.

And stop drawing conclusions from inconclusive posts, it's supremely annoying.

I don't believe in God, how could I think am God? :emot-hug:

Why does God allow such atrocious pain and suffering? If god is responsible for the every individual born into this Earth, then why would he allow some poor child in Africa to be born to a mother with AIDS? Why would he allow somebody to be born if he knew he or she would starve to death in less than a month

It's up to you. You have been given the truth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
