are you saying im dumb? i dont even believe in star signs. I wanted to see what other peoples opinions were.

I meant that those who believe that their temperaments from the heavens are buying into a dumb notion.

I think it depends on what exactly they're buying into. Horoscopes can be fun to look at, as long as you don't take it too seriously. Obviously there are a lot of different opinions of whether or not horoscopes are real or biblical, but in the end it should all just be for fun. I don't think this is really something to be too worried about.

Ok, I get id. Dabbling into occultic fortune telling is fun. I guess dabbling into witchcraft is probably fun also.

Reading your horoscope on occassion is not going to damn you to Hell. Just relax, no one is talking about becoming a witch. :emot-heartbeat:

Maybe it's not an issue with you, but would you advise a baby christian in that manner, I think it wouldn't be a good idea. Or if others have stong convictions otherwise, it's not a good idea.

I guess I just do not understand your belief on keeping yourself holy. Do you really think that it is God's will for a Christian to dabble in the Occult?

Oh gosh just relax. Im not going to involve myself in this because i can see that you are trying to pull me into something of which I really don't care to argue.

I think christians these days arn't being so hard on themselves (i think thats a good thing) i think it can be dangerous to be so black and white in this day and age. I've seen so many christians have nervous breakdowns over worrying about such things. If there hearts are God's then it is really is no-ones business to judge where their heart is at with God. No-ones relationship with God is the same as another.

The truth is more like, you have jumped into a subject on which you have no good grounds to argue.

Whatever- insult, argue...in the end I STILL LOVE JESUS! And I know in my heart of hearts that he loves me for me... :whistling:

God created us so that many things such as the spiritual realm are beyond our understanding and comprehension. I believe that there is a relationship between the earth and the entire cosmos, just take a look how the moon a lifeless lump of rock effects this plant in a drastic way.

However God makes it perfectly clear we must stay away from all kinds o fortune telling and studying the skies to make predictions. Doing this is an insult to God, therefore we must not do it.

Horoscopes in magazines and newspapers are very flimsy at best, and are just sweeping generalizations. Most people will fit these predictions into their lives to make them fit, even if these predictions are not very accurate and seen as a bit of fun, they are still constructed based on the zodiac and positions of the planets . In short it is still telling peoples fortunes which is an abomination before God and something God forbids.

Reading your horoscope on occassion is not going to damn you to Hell. Just relax, no one is talking about becoming a witch. :24:

Maybe not, but its still dishonouring to God and still a sin. It may not entrap you just yet but that bad seed is there, what if you backslide or go through a bad patch in your relationship with God? Satan will use your interest in horoscopes to draw you further into astrology and all the other methods of fortune telling.

I think christians these days arn't being so hard on themselves (i think thats a good thing)

Far from it, we are surrounded and smothered by a materialistic, politically correct Godless world which has subconsciously brainwashed us. We all live nice and cosy and are loathed to give up a number of practices that are dishonouring to God and go against his ways. We should all be hard on ourselves and strive to live our lives as Christ did, even if that means giving up on many things that we have grown accustomed or attached to.

i think it can be dangerous to be so black and white in this day and age.

The only way it is only dangerous to be black and white, is that it by doing so it lands Christians into serious trouble by clashing with and breaking unwritten and written laws and worldy sets of values and morals that have been put in place human rights and political correctness lobby, amongst other things.

I've seen so many christians have nervous breakdowns over worrying about such things. If there hearts are God's then it is really is no-ones business to judge where their heart is at with God. No-ones relationship with God is the same as another.

At end of day it is up to us what we do with our lives and what our relationship with God is like. However as Christians we are expected to inform each other when we see wrong. If that person accepts it or rejects it that

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
