It sounds like support for Bush is dwindling fast.

If this keeps up, he won't be president next election.

I wonder if people know the consequences if that happens.

I wonder if people realize what the Democrates are up to.

I wonder if people know what the other runners (all nine of them I think) have on Thier agenda(s).

I find it hard to understand what the president is doing these days as well. Some of the things don't make very much sense to me, but I am not a fan of politics. I try hard not to bash him though.

He is openly Christian, and that requires that I pray or him.

I wonder how many of us are praying for him instead of being disgruntled.

Sagz we are required to pray for him whether he is a christian or not. I think I spent more time praying for Bill Clinton than I have George Bush. He needed it more.....lol.... Seriously though, we need to pray for our leaders no matter what..... How else will we live in peace?

I actually don't think the Democrats have a prayer. They lost so big time in the congressional election last year and I heard last night where that Zel Miller, a big name conservative democrat, is frustrated with what the Democrat's are putting at the forefront for election possibilities and there was talk he may switch to the GOP.

. But it made me think of how many times, usually daily that I have to repent of something stupid that comes out of my mouth.

Oh boy, you got THAT right! Me too. And I was hoping that's what it was. However, the difference is, when I say something stupid, it doesn't impact millions of people. I do believe that those in a position such as his that claim to be a Christian are held to a higher standard for just that reason - they are examples to the multitudes.

Ronaldgeorge - as for him "Standing idly by" - the President is basically a figure head who can not make changes on his own. Changes require an act of Congress. All the Pres. can do is say what he thinks. And he does.

Amen, Sagz... :t2: You speak for me. But I admit, I feel a little let down.

In fact, I was watching the 700 Club and Pat Robertson gave Bush a tongue-lashing that made me fall out of my chair.

I rarely see Pat so huffy but he was miffed bigtime! He specifically remarked that the president's comments about Islam being "peaceful" and being a "great religion" was a hunk of nonsense.

He made no bones about his feelings and he came right out and said what I was thinking...He's very, very disappointed.

Pat Robertson's always been very "pro" Bush and a strong supporter until lately.

I sympathize there because I see politics becoming more important than taking a stand for Christ.

I guess if we were all in his shoes, we might let our flesh get in the way. We all tend to do that on the boards but as WIP says...the president is held to a higher standard.

I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

Like many of you, I have some doubts about G Dubya. I volted for him and probably will again.

He is President of all of the US citizens, not just Christians. As for saying Islam is a great religion, I hope that is politician speak. He could have said, terrorists have given Islam a black eye. Islam is an evil religion. The Qu'ran teaches that if one is not a Muslim, he deserves to die. Jews and Christians are pigs, the great satan.

Nothing in the Qr'ran teaches love your neighbor. Nothing in the Qu'ran teaches that Allah is love. The Qu'ran does teach that Allah is a bookkeeper. When a Muslim dies, Allah opens his ledger. If the Muslim has done one more good deed than bad deed, he goes to paradise. If the Muslim does one more bad deed than good deed, he goes to perdition. Ever wonder why Muslims are so angry? :t2:

The only guarantee a Muslim has of paradise is to be a "martyr." So they blow themselves up and kill as many people as they can. :t2:

Mathew 24:7 Jesus says, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. I believe that the kingdom against kingdom is Allah vs Jesus. The Arab world against America and Israel.

Well, I'm no admirer of Pat Robertson but, RIGHT ON Pat!!!! Good for him!

Trusting Him, I agree with everything you said, except I'm not sure that this:

Nothing in the Qr'ran teaches love your neighbor.
is true. Isn't it true that the Qr'ran does teach love for each other along with hating the 'infidels'? I understand your points, and they are good ones, but I don't think we should make the book out to be more than it is. Yep, it's lies out of the pit of hell, but it isn't all hate from cover to cover I don't think. Could be wrong though.

Pam - Hillary?? Please!! You are scaring me!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
