Enough what? Enough telling you to make a choice? The building is burning. That's a fact according to what we believe. You can choose to believe that the building is not burning and receive your salvation, but we are not going to stop telling you the the fireman is right outside your door.

snip... Things are bigger than we think the are. The universe is larger and deeper than we can ever know. snip....

Amen to that! The good book says that we see through a glass darkly. I believe no one can imagine the wonders that await us. Of course, as believers we have assurance that it is to our good.

I am encouraged, runner, that you believe in an afterlife. :emot-hug:

Ditto with every other religion on the planet. What makes Christianity unique?

For one this is a Christian forum with like minded believers. If you were on a forum of Budhists you'd be asking the same thing.

What separates people from God are the people. What is unique is that the people accept the knock at the door and answer the call and then actually surrender. That is what is unique, to each and every believer of Christ. Hence Christian.

The Son of Man, Jesus is our bridge to God. Without accepting Him as our Savior, we can't cross the bridge and recieve our inheritence.

Just answer the question, if you woke to find, countless numbers of people gone-what would you think????

I would wonder where all the Mormons went.

Jesus.

And what makes Jesus any more right than Krishna?

Aha!!

Well, this is where you make your choice, isn't it, AAA?

Just be sure that you make the right choice, ok?

One leads to eternal life, the others are all imposters and lead to destruction. Jesus is the only one who died for us, to save us from our sins, and pay our debt to God.

Life is not a practise run.

Make sure you make the right choice!

Life is not a practise run.

Make sure you make the right choice!

I see four choices in the matter.

1) Christianity is right.

2) Christianity is wrong, but another religion is right. (Is actually thousands of choices, but I didn't want to put all of them here.)

3) All religions are wrong, but there is a supernatural being of some sort. They just don't have it right.

4) There is no supernatural being.

Of those four choices, the most plausible one to be is the fourth, as I can see no evidence for a supernatural being, nor for the Christian God to be that supernatural being if in fact it did exist.

Understand that every religion says that it is right, every religion has true believers in it, and most of them claim that they are the only way to paradise. However, I can't see why any of them should be true, as I can't see any reason that the world was created or that there needs to be a god watching over us. Atheism is what makes the most sense to me.

That being said, I won't begrudge you your belief, as it is obviously right for you! I wish you well as a Christian, and I hope that the philosophies contained within that religion influence you positively throughout your life. I would ask one favor in return, that you understand the reasons behind my disagreement with you on the matter, and accept the fact that I will have different philosophies than you. Agreeing to disagree is perfectly fine with me.

Of course I understand, AAA

I also wish you well, since, at the end of the day, it is not me you will have to answer to, nor yourself, but God, who sent His Only Son to die for you and take away your sin

As He said:

"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?"

As I said before, life is NOT a practise run.

Make SURE you have chosen the right path. You will have to live with it.

Blessings to you, and best wishes :24:

I agree life isn't a practice run. So you better get strait with the mormons right away, they are the only way to get to Heaven!

If you apply the logic of Pascal's Wager, Islam is an excellent choice for a religion. You get a better heaven and avoid a worse hell.

You do realise dont you that according to the bible even the devil fears hell...?? He Trembles at the thought....

Hell is not the devils home people.........It is his PRISON.

Remember the demoniac and the cry of the demon spirits....."Do not send us into the abyss before our time..." Even the demons do not want to go to hell.....

What exactly do you think youre toying with here....???? A slap on the wrist...??

You will have to live with whatever decision you choose to make regarding the kingdom of Light and the Kingdom of darkness....

No one else will have to live with your decision except you....

"Choose this day, life and blessing or death and curses."

God would not have commanded this if it were not important. It is THE single most important decision you will ever have to make in your lifetime. No other decision will determine your eternal destiny.

If you are more interested in what WORKS for you than what is Right, be prepared to live with the consequences of that decision.

Im not talking about heaven or hell here either....If you make the wrong choice, it would be enough of a hell having to live with that for all eternity. Especially knowing that you had heard the Truth and Ignored it.

You might say that the same could be said for ME...And you would be right....I have made my decision and I am prepared for whatever consequences will now follow....I am prepared to be fully accountable for every word I have spoken in relation to the gospel of Christ. I ponder my thoughts quite deeply before I post. I wont say anything that I am not prepared to be fully accountable for...Because the Truth is......I AM accountable...and so too ARE YOU.....!!

"It is appointed once for each man to die, and then the judgement."

My friends, the bible is not a book put there for you to decide on whether or not it is worthy of your time or attention...It is not there for you to judge it....These are the very words by which YOUR very own life will be measured.....You dont judge IT.......IT will judge YOU...!!

Jesus spoke clearly that it is the Word you have not believed that will condemn you.....HE came into the world, NOT to condemn it, but that the world would be saved through HIM....

HE does not condemn you....He came to set you free FROM the condemnation you already stand UNDER......BECAUSE you do NOT believe in Gods only begotten son.

"He who HAS the son of God has LIFE, but he who does NOT have the son does NOT have life and Gods wrath abides upon him."

Its not a matter of going to trial and being convicted....Youre ALREADY GUILTY....YOURE ALREADY CONDEMNED TO DEATH...."The wages of sin is DEATH." You have sinned.

You must cross from DEATH to LIFE....The deception people is that you think you are ALIVE....But you are DEAD to God...Dead in your sins and transgressions.....You need to cross over from death unto life. Jesus showed the way. You MUST be Born Again...."Flesh and blood CANNOT inherit the kingdom of God." You MUST be Redeemed...You do not inherit the kingdom of God as a man. Jesus received a glorified Body before he ascended back into heaven to be with the Father....Jesus said it himself...."God is NOT flesh and Blood." When he spoke to Peter he said, "Flesh and blood has not made this known to you but my Father who is in heaven..."

Flesh and blood CANNOT inherit the Kindgom of God..That is why a man must be Born Again of the Spirit..In Thessalonians it states that even those who are still alive at the coming of Christ MUST be CHANGED.....If these were all decisions we could make LATER, we wouldnt need the bible and God neednt have sent his only son to die...There is great significance in this message of the gospel.

"It is the power of God unto salvation to them that believe and are saved." But to those who are perishing it is a message of foolishness...."For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing."

Do not ignore such a great salvation..

Regards,

Ben.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
