blessings kittylover,

I percieve that you are baptist in belief but consider myself to be non-denominational. Now we are different in denominations from one another but I do not believe that you are Not a christian because we are from two seperate groups and may see certain things differently nor do I think your pastor is not a christian because of the same reason.

However, I personally don't think there is anything wrong with pointing out false doctrine. But I believe there is a fine line that one must be careful not to cross and I think that the defining line is when the ministers start attacking individuals of other faith's saying they are not saved because they are not of their own personal faith or individual group.

Are we pointing out false doctrine or insighting a religious war all in the name of correcting people. Religious wars destroy's Christ's body and divides.

Religious wars causes us to have enemies instead of the love of God shed abroad in our hearts

an open rebuke is better than secret love

you haven't done anything wrong that I see to apologize for.

loving blessings

OC

I must again site my own experience with salvation and realize that the seeds that were planted in the past when I walked away from biblical salvation to the protection of my Catholic church. I walked away from the invitation twice and I can see that these were definitely planted seeds. However, no one ever told me that the only thing I had ever known was wrong and I wonder if they had what I would have done, dig my heels in more and vigorously defend that religion that which I was so comfortable with? I was certainly stubborn and self-righteous enough to have done just that. But I eventually left the church and ended up in a nondenominational church one Sunday morning. It was then that the Holy Spirit dealt with me personally and I accepted Jesus Christ. I do realize that tough love is sometimes needed and have experienced some of that very thing recently. But I still want to add the one thing that kept me open to visiting these very "uncomfortable" churches where this salvation message which I felt I did not need was preached. It was the love of those who kept inviting me and showing me Jesus. Not cramming a you are in a cult and not saved message down my throat, that would have been a bitter pill to swallow and I would have avoided these folks like the plague.

Peace,

Bethany

I found myself ready to make amends with this girl because I know the lesson upset her a bit. She also said some of what was said about her church is not what she has been taught. If her family knew what was said I know they'll ban her from coming back.

On the positive side today my daughter came home from school and said her friend said she preferred our church because of the friendliness. Please continue praying for her. She could very well be on the way to salvation.

This sadens me. Whether you are a mormon, catholic, church of christ, non denominational, baptist, lutheran- how can we judge another person or denomination? Though we disagree with each other - maybe that is what makes christianity unique - though we have extreme differences in theology we can all worship Christ.

Please heal our divisions, Lord and pray that all can come in communion with your Son through the power of the Holy Spirit.

THe problem with churches is that there are people in churches. The perfect church would have empty pews.

Maybe you could go with your child to mass one day. I have felt the outpouring of the Holy Spirit during mass and it took me by surprise to say the least.

Christ has died

Christ has risen

Christ will come again

I Hate When Denominations Fight Over Who Is Right And Who Is Wrong...Sure Everyone Has Diffrent Beliefs On Things But Why Fight On Who Is Right And Who Is Wrong Preachers,Priests,etc... Should Be Worried About Getting People Saved Rather Then Fighting....

My daughter goes to a catholic school. Mass is part of the school programme. I have a lot of respect and admiration for the Catholics. All bible teachings she comes home with agrees with what we believe. They seem to teach what All churches can agree with.

I don't like denomination bashing. It annoys me. There are doctrines I don't agree with in the Catholic Church but I won't get discuss it here. But when a church does teach against a particular church I personally think they 1st need to make sure what they say that church teaches is what they teach and 2nd to use the Bible, not their own opinion.

In the end of the day God is in control.

God Bless

I agree with you partly here.

I've been taught that for a church to claim itself to be Christian they need to agree with Essential Doctrines. Which are Deity of Christ, Salvation by grace, the resurrection of Christ and The Gospel.

Take the Mormons for example. They deny the Deity of Christ. They teach (or used to) that God was a man who had carnal relationships with Mary who then conceived Christ who exalted into Godhood because he led a perfect Godly life.

I also don't see what the difference is between the Mormon Prophet and the Catholic Pope.

I believe we as Christians should be concerned about salvation and if someone isn't saved and are just being religious we should be ready to tell them about the Good News.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
