Okay last night I had a really scary dream. I was in a restaurant with some of my family and friends. We were sitting in this booth and all of a sudden people started screaming and I looked out the window to see these really creepy looking people standing outside. They had really pale skin and angry looking faces, but thats all I can remember. Then all of a sudden they dissapeared and reappeared inside the restaurant. Then they stole this little boy and left. A few minutes later they came back and were looking at me like they wanted to steal me so I started screaming "Jesus, protect me!! I love you Jesus, be here for me!!" And then they took someone else and left, but it was so scary. I am just wondering what you guys think this could mean??

Do you 'just know' beyond a shadow of a doubt it was a spiritual dream?

Maybe this should be moved to spiritual warfare. Someone there might have more insight. I have an idea, but I am definitely not an interpreter of dreams by any means:>)

I'm sure that it was. I've never "cried out" to Jesus in a dream before...it was very real.

sierra,

You will find many differing viewpoints on this subject, and some will disagree with me no doubt, but I will tell you what I believe.

Two years ago the Lord began giving me visions and dreams of a disaster/war/devastation to come to America that would be unlike anything we have ever before experienced and it would be a judgment of God on us because we have forsaken our first love and are following after other 'gods'.

Two years later he continues to give me the same message - it has been consistent these past two years - and look at where the world is right now and how much of this began in just the past two years. Look at the president of Iran who is on a mission to destroy both Israel and the USA or all Zionists in order to bring the Muslim's messiah back and look when he came to power - in 2005. Look at what is going on in Israel and its borders and how much of that has happened in just the past two years. And, I could go on and on. I read today about Rick Warren's work toward global religion and his trip to Syria, and how he began this whole idea of global peace in 2005.

So, I believe your dream is real and is a depiction of what is soon to come upon America. I believe we will be invaded by foreign armies, that there will be much devastation both through war and through natural disasters and disease and that America as we know it now is soon to be a thing of the past.

But, you should not take my word for it. I would suggest that you spend some time on your knees before the Lord in prayer and then in his word (where you are reading in your quiet times right now) and listen to hear what he has to say about it. If the dream was from him, then he has the interpretation. Just ask him. He'll show you.

You voiced clearly to the enemy, who you belonged to and he couldn't take you. Life is short and the enemy is going about looking=like a ravinous lion=who he can steal, kill or destroy.

It's a good idea when you receive a dream, to inquire of the Lord in your quiet time with Him, especially when he gives you scripture to go along with the dream, or if he gives you an assignment to pray over.

I used to run and tell everyone my prayers and then not have one for a long time, then I finally had the lightbulb go off in my brain to say oh yeah, it was as if I told a secret a best friend revealed without permission. You will feel released as to when you can share. No condemnation to you, just suggestions, cause I felt really bad, when I realized what I had done.

Keep record of what you dream, you can look back and see amazing things the Lord was taking you through.

I know it sounds child like=but every night my kid request that I pray that they don't have nightmares. I do this and my daughter truely has faith that she wont. But she does have spiritual dreams that comes through. I sometimes pray this, because if I have heavy sugar before bed, I get some really bad dreams, so at times I remember to pray for myself.

 I never knew there was a connection between sugar intake and dreams. Hmmm, I'll have to see about that one. Usually I just have water in the evenings, but I have to splurge every now and then and have some chocolate just for survival, you know. I do have some really weird dreams sometimes. Some have been from the Lord, and others just from whatever weirdness is in my brain, I guess.

If I were the one having the dream I would be asking the Lord what it was I was partaking of that I should not be and that He needs to rescue me from...

or what place I was in that I needed Him to come rescue me from it.....

This would definitely be my prayer after a dream like that..

I pray He will give you understanding and show you what steps to take... :)

I've been thinking/praying a lot about this dream. My faith has been a lot stronger lately, which I am really thankful for. But maybe God is just reminding me that even though I am strong...I still need him, and I need to be mindful that my faith will always be growing. I don't know...there are other things too...in terms of romantic relationship stuff that I think might be playing a role but that's much to deep to get into right now... :emot-hug:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
