I'm getting sick and tired of unbelievers coming onto these boards and insulting my brothers and sisters. I'm okay when it's directed towards me because I can take care of myself. When it's directed towards my brothers and sisters is what really burns me up. Yet, day after day, it's allowed. Why? When do you draw the line? If it's got nothing to do with the topic, and it's a purely personal attack, why is no one doing anything about it? The posts stay up, and no one says anything to these people, even the ones who've come right out and either said they're here to try and convince people Christ isn't real, or that they're only here for fun. The Great Commission is something we should all take very seriously and we never know when we'll say something that will plant a seed which will sprout only years later, but like I asked earlier, where is the line drawn? I know I'm just a guest here like everyone else, and I have no right to question anyone's actions who are in authority, but maybe when I first came here I was looking through rose-colored glasses, because it wasn't like this when I first came here only a few months ago. At least it didn't seem as bad as it's gotten, not bad, just so much ugliness being tolerated.

Forgive me and delete this, mods, if it's innapropriate. I know I'm still just as much a sinner as any unbeliever who comes her, I've just be forgiven.

A couple of observations as a moderator:

1. If you are the brunt of a post that you feel is inappropriate, please hit the report button. If it is inappropriate, we as moderators will certainly deal with it

2. In terms of how God would have us deal with insults, consider these passages:

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me. Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 5:11-12 CSB

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Matthew 5:44 CSB

The Lord's slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient, instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance to know the truth. Then they may come to their senses and escape the Devil's trap, having been captured by him to do his will.

uhh...i think sometimes moderators allow too much. People can get downright nasty and that doesn't seem to be noticed. Perhaps we are just "over-emotional" Oh well- we can be over-emotional together Billie!

But I think it has gotten better since we first joined. At least, it has for me. Perhaps it's because certain members no longer visit the site...lol

I've seen those talons. lol

They have been clipped a bit..not quite as sharp as they used to be..but, there is always the extra set, just in case.
