Peace Saints,

Tribulation = trouble. A time of great tribulation (IE. great trouble)

Christ did not promise you would not have trouble.

Wrath = justifiable abhorrence, anger, punishment by implication, punishment by violent passion.

We are not appointed to G-ds Wrath!

There is also a Post-Post Tribulation theory. There seems to be a 45 day to 75 days difference in Daniel so it is explained by some. So maybe we can't count the exact days from mid-trib. Also, there is a difference between tribulation and God's wrath. Maybe I can finish this later. Gary just broke his foot again? Got to take him to the doctor.

That was supposed to read a 45 day to 75 day Post-Post Rapture theory. I still don't have time to write this out since I have to get to work now.

Gary did break his foot. It is now broken in three different places. Ouch!

Gotta go!

Dove - Gary broke his foot? :x: Oh my is he okay? Sheeeesh!

Sorry folks to be coming in late on this discussion...still reading...

Wow!! What an awesome thread!! I just love to talk about when our Lord will return for us His children. Gives me cheevars!freezing.gifAnywho, I still haven't seen anyone give a Bilical reference to the cashless society. I have been trying to find this for a loooooong time. Where is it?

Now on the trib issue, my wife wrote an awesome commentary for our site that I thought was fitting for this thread and I wanted to share it with you.

Are we tribulation saints?

"]

This commentary is dedicated to the crew and passengers of United Airlines flight 93, who when faced with the hardest choice of all, chose to die so that others might live, reminiscent of our Savior Jesus Christ. May their loved ones find peace in knowing that they followed in the footsteps of the greatest man who ever lived. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

"They understood the danger ahead and went to meet it." Jane Pauley, Dateline NBC 10-02-01

Revelation 18:8-11: Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her. "When kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: 'Woa! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power! In one hour your doom has come!' "The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more-

Revelation 18:14 & 15 : "They will say, 'The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.' The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn.

Revelation 18:21-23: "Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said: "With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again, the music of harpists and musicians, flute players and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again. No workman of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of the millstone will never be heard in you again. The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The voice of the bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again. Your merchants were the world's great men. By your magic they were led astray.

Weep and mourn. Never to be recovered. Voice of the bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again.

Food for thought. I know many of you who come here are readers of the Left Behind book series, and are most likely believers in the Post-Trib theory, meaning that the rapture of the church will happen before the tribulation, and near the beginning of the book of Revelation. Then, as the books fictionalize, a few scattered "near believers" left behind become "true believers" and begin to do God's work in what they fear are the earth's last days, and humanity's last chance at salvation.

Read the above chapters, and ask yourself, "Does this scenario sound familiar?" Several times in this chapter, John mentions "merchants" and "wealth". The adulteries committed here are not merely of sexual nature. They are also materialism, pride, unrestrained appetite for luxury and wealth, selfish excess, idolatry and decadent lifestyles.

Now, I understand that the scholars who interpret the Bible explain to us here that "Babylon" is supposed to symbolize Rome, however the coincidence to recent events here in the United States Of America leaves me to wonder.

Please know that I am not a Biblical Scholar, nor am I trying to re-interpret the Bible, however, as one of God's saints, it is my duty to be watchful. What jumps out at me is that this is chapter 18 of Revelation! It is very near the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This then leads me to ask myself, what if it does not happen the way the books fictionalize it? What if we are living in the tribulation right now? Am I working as diligently as I can for God right now? Am I truly living for God, and is my salvation intact? I also wonder if God wants to give non-believers one last chance at salvation, why would He remove ALL believers first? Could it be His plan that we are here for the purpose of converting as many as we can, as if we are living in the last days? Those who are willing to suffer and die for Him. It is fact that there are more Christians being persecuted and martyred all around the world today than ever before. No one can guess what God's timing will be regarding the return of His Son. God did not reveal the date or hour to John, only the events that will precede it. Whether you are Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib or Post-Trib by faith, one thing is certain, we know a day is at hand when there will be no more suffering. A day of great joy! While the President is calling the military into action, I call you, the warriors of God, into service, His service. Live as if you are living in the last days! This country was founded on the principles of God-fearing men. There is a reason the pledge says, "one nation under God, indivisible." I believe this means that the nation should not be divided from God. This nation has been divided from God, and why? Because atheism spurred on a lawsuit, that went all the way to the Supreme Court, and changed this nation forever. I say we take this nation back! Praying is a step, but it is not enough. We need to become pro-active! Be proud to say you are a Christian, and tell anyone who will listen what this means to you, and to them. God's salvation for us is free, a gift given because of love for us, not hate for others, we need to share this message. We have seen this mentality manifest itself in small ways around the country recently, at high school football games, for example, where they tried to take prayer away from people, and they stood firm, and found a loophole and prayed anyways! Amen to these people!

The President has called this a "new kind of war", and said that is may last for years. What if it happens to last for seven years? Does this have any significance to you? Could we be at the start of the tribulation? But does it really matter if we are, where our commitment as Christians to God is concerned? In this "new" war, a loss of life is called a "casualty", but the loss of a soul is "life lost eternally". May peace be with you and with this nation always.

This commentary in NO way intends to put forth that those who died in New York were the sinners mentioned in Revelation, nay, they were martyrs. As was remarked in a recent issue of Time Magazine, "God was absolutely shocked to find all those people before HIm" in heaven. Any thinking Christian knows that God did not cause this. Our thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones, as well as those from the Pentagon, and the flight passengers and crew of all the planes involved. May God truly bless America. Thank you.

I pray that God will grant us His children the strength and wisdom to preach to the world His name and stand strong against those who mock us in His name. I pray that the Lord keep us together as brothers and sister in Christ knowing that we need to lift each other up in love instead of tear one another down. May God bless everyone of you. Amen

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
