I truly, truly would like to hear the Democratic plan for victory in Iraq, and for this war against terrorists. I mean, it's been over 3 years, and all we have heard from them is.....well, nothing really, except Bush is doing it wrong. Depending on which way the wind blows, you can hear everything from "we don't have enough troops to do the job" to "we don't need to be sending anymore troops over there".

Time to act like an adult on this issue, I say to the Democratic party: Which is it? Stop playing around with the lives of Americans. Whch way do you want it, anyway?

What......is.....your.....plan?

Please, someone from that side of the aisle tell me, because it affects me personally, as well as my family.

What is your plan for victory? Stop acting like little babies and tell me your plan. If it works, or sounds feasible, I'll go with it, I promise.

t.

Your not the only one. I keep hearing from them that we need a new plan for Iraq but they never come up with one. Now for Barbara Boxer to come out of left field with this attacking Dr. Rice for being a single woman with no children is typical of the liberals. When you don't have a plan attack a conservative.

I have yet to hear of any democrat tackle a debate or an issue with integrity and stick to the issue; instead they attack the person, avoid the real issue of the debate, go around the issue, change the subject and offer no solutions to the issues at hand. All they know how to do is toss out false accusations and condemnations, which sends a wrong message to everyone. Hopefully, they will hang themselves in the time left before the next Presidential election.

Republicans never attack people personally, make false accusations, or play dirty?????? Hello Pot, Meet Kettle.

I seem to remember a period between 1993 and 2001, when attacking the president personally and making false accusations (like claiming he was a murderer and a rapist) was pretty much all Republicans did. The Democrats would have to spend the next two years swimming the sewers to stoop as low as the Republicans did back then.

It was not 2 weeks ago that a certain Republican Congressman from Virginia demonized an incoming Muslim Congressman simply because he was a Muslim and thus, imagine this, wanted to take the oath of office with the Koran. Basically telling every muslim citizen of America that they were second class citizens and not as American as he was. One could not be more insulting.

I mean come on, have you read some of the stuff that you guys have wrote on here yourselves? You talk about Democrats, Liberals, Feminists, Environmentalists, or anyone who in anyway disagrees with you like a Klansman would talk about African Americans. It could only be described as pure venom and hatefulness.

All Boxer did, and don't get me wrong, it was a crappy thing to say, was say that Rice had no children and thus was not making the sacrifice that people who have children over there are. Like I say, a bit of low remark, but a mile higher than the typical vitriol being spewed daily on outlets like Right Wing Talk Radio. The tone was set by the partisan right back in the 90s, they cant exactly complain now.

I don't know about the murder but Clinton was a rapist. There were several women who had sexual advances of Clinton that did not want them and Clinton being the womanizer he was and still is most likely did it anyway. When he had an affair in the White House then lied about it not only to the American people but to a Grand Jury and got away with it I lost any of the little respect I had for the man. I still had respect for the Office of President which was more then he had when he had this little tryst. I'm not saying there are bad on both sides but when you have someone like Ted Kennedy who did commit murder and get away with it just because he was a Kennedy, and believe me that is the only reason and Clinton who got away with this affair Democrats have little room to talk.

I think we need to get these things out in the open. This is the only place where I can get into a real lively discussion about such things. However your right that it is not what our priority should be. I can't talk to my husband about things like this because we agree so where's the fun?

Well, discussing our differences is one thing.

But can we keep the teeth and claws out of it, please?

Actually, it was more like negligent homicide, but who's keeping tabs any more....

Nebula's right, though. We can discuss this stuff without digging claws into each other.

I'd still like to hear what the Democrats secret plan for victory is, though. Obviously, they know the answer, but still want to keep their plan secret from the rest of us.

I don't understand it. :24:

Democrats, nor pragmatic Republicans would have never gotten us into this mess by never going into Iraq in the first place. As it is there is no good plan for victory. We can either flood the country with at least 100,000 more soldiers for years in an attempt to pacify this country.

Or.

We can redeploy to other nations in the area in an attempt to simply contain it.

Neither option is a good one, but it is what we are left with. The problem is that the neo-conservatives have created a mess that both liberals and classical conservatives warned would never work prior to our even going in, now they want to complain when those same classical conservatives and liberals do not a have a solution for what they claimed would never work in the first place.

I wouldn't know about Right Wing Talk Radio, but I would think our elected representatives would rise above the likes of what I have seen come out of the democrats since they have been on their power trip for 100 days, and the past. And your comments in this thread, and the one I linked to just prove my point. I don't recall any Virginia congressman demonizing a muslim congressman; however, I do recall many expressing their concerns over this muslim comgressman. Your choice of word "demonize" is just another typical example of democrat sensationalism and over reactive rhetoric used to subtlely coerce and manipulte people because they do not know how to debate the issues without attacking their opponents personally and thus, they lose all credibility.

Perhaps that's an erroneous perception on your part. I have not seen that. What I have seen, tho, is you calling a media a right wing rag, making false accusations and presumptions because you cannot defend the indefensible.

I called the Moonie owned Washington Times a Moonie Owned Right Wing Rag, hardly a false accusation.

I considered digging out many of the vitrolic posts on here directed toward liberals, Democrats, Muslims, Feminists, and Environmentalists, but I don't think it would serve any good purpose. All I am saying is that I am not even that much of Lib, I often vote for Moderate Republicans, but just the same, I am often very offended on here. I cannot imagine how offended someone who really was a liberal would be.

Secondly, if you make the insinuation as the congressman from Virginia made that if we don't adopt his imigration policy, we will have a country full of Muslims, and then give Congressman Ellison as an example, you are being a biggot, and demonizing Muslims. There is no way around that. Which is kind of my point, if you want to point fingers, you need to point them both right and left.

Typical tactic.

But they did it first. Ugh!

Dont take responsibility for it, just bring up someone worse in your eyes.

You know, I remember in another thread about healthcare you mentioned your lack of health coverage. This is what I don't understand. Both parties have their share of sleaze, but only one side actually really cares about people who don't have health coverage. Only one side actually cares about people who are scraping to get by. Sure, the Republicans on occasion give a little ideological lip service to these issues, but in three Republican Presidencies over the last 26 years and a Republican controlled congress for the last 12 years, they have done nothing, nothing at all of note for the working people of this country. The only thing they did, in 27 years was provide a Medicare Drug benefit, and if you ask most any senior, they did a pretty crappy job of it because they were so beholden to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries. Think about it, other than a mess of a war, what have Republicans done for you in the last 6 years when they held the Whitehouse, Congress, and the Federal Courts? Nothing. Yeah, a little tax cut, but nothing else. Where is their FDR? They don't have one.

The fact is, if anyone addresses the issue nearly 50 million uninsured in this country, it certainly will not be a conservative Republican. If anyone addresses the issue of the working poor in this country, it certainly will not be a conservative Republican. If anyone addresses the issue of rising poverty and the growing gap between rich and poor in this country, it certainly will not be a conservative Republican. Because when it really, really, really gets down to it, they obviously don't care, it is off of their radar screen.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
