The Big Bang

When referring to the big bang, are we referring to:

The creation of time, space, matter, energy, and everything?

Or just an expansion of matter inside of time and space that already exist?

Could someone please explain this to me or point me in the right direction of where I might read about the 'technical aspects' of the big bang?

I have little understanding of the big bang. But I had it all wrong in the beginning. The big bang does not explain the BEGINNING of time, it explains the first .0000000000001 second of time(there are probably more zeroes, but you get my drift). That is something that must be understood. It doesn't necessarily leave out the need for a supernatural entity of some sort. You should take a look into string theory and M theory(I think that is what its called). I know very little about this as well, but I have only begun to read on it. I will probably never understand it because I hate math more than cold showers, but it is still very interesting.

Iv just recently accepted christ Im gonna buy a bible today, but right now im sitting whit a downloaded version, im at genesis, i have a hard time understanding why this cant be big bang?

What is the universe made of? Molekyls, atoms, what is atoms? Energy. What is energy? Allways been allways will be can not be destroyed. A description for god? The beginning of the bible where i am now dosent deny Big Bang only explains it from our point of view.

My friend, there is so much out there that we do not understand. Scientists are doing their best to give us answers in regard to what is found through experiments, and others are trying to tie in what the Bible says about it all.

Personally, I don't think we'll ever get to a point to where we all know all of the answers, but we have God to give us what we need in order to follow Him and be a part of His will for us.

Focus on Christ, and continue to strengthen your base of understanding Him.

I actualy was asking the same thing,

The big bang, God spoke, and BANG it happened!

The Big bang is the expansion of space, if matter is also in that space, then it will expand with it. This is why every point in the universe can be seen as the center of the universe. (picture an expanding bread with chocolate chip inside.)

Example: When we observe other galaxies, we will see that every one of them is moving away from us as if the milky way is the center of the universe, but if you were living on Andromeda or the dwarf galaxy of Pegasus, you would observe the same thing.

Note: Space is not matter or light, expansion of space can be faster than the speed of light, think like when you are running on a moving cart, the cart (representing space) is allowed to move faster than the speed of light, but YOU are not allowed to move faster than the speed of light in relation to the cart. So the object you observe in the night sky can be futher away from you than the age of the universe.

The Big bang according to current quantum theory arose from random disturbances of "branes" of extra dimensions, that is when 2 branes collide, this causes a ripple effect and produce a "hole" in a new spacetime. This hole is proposed to be much like the opposite of a black hole, and creates space itself in the new spacetime, from it spews out matter and energy whose quantity and type depends on the vibration of the branes/strings that collided.

This bigbang-creating disturbances may have happened countless times to create other universes, but new universe and its corresponding spacetime is exclusive to other universes and will not interfere and appear almost completely invisible to us. The values of the universal constant like force of gravity, or strength of the strong nuclear force may also depend on the very moment of collision of the branes, the vibration of the branes and corresponding strings dictate heavily on what type of energy/force or how much of each force will be present in the newly created universe. I another word, we are in a universe that supports life because we're merely the product of luck, there may have been billion of not trillions of other universes with different constants that are outside our current perception.

This is interesting. However, the part about billions or trillions of universes seems to be a Gambler's Fallacy, in other words, assuming that

there could be other universes, no matter how numerous, doesn't mean that this is the product of luck. If I toss a set of dice and they come

up as two sixes 100 times in a row, I'd say those dice are fixed, and not a product of luck at all, even though there are many people in the

world tossing dice at the same time as me.
