WMD's in Iraq-just a small question

Hey everyone,

I'm sorry to sound harsh and I bet there are THOUSANDS of threads on this already... however, I know for a fact that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.... I know that there were gases there that they weren't supposed to have and something about a mobile unit. PLEASE do not make this a debate as to if there were or were not WMD's in Iraq.... PLEASE.... I really just want an answer to what was/could be over there... most what was.... Course, my dad being in the military, can't tell me how he knows they were over there, and can't tell me much of anything, so please, does anybody know what they were?

Something made our troops very sick in desert storm! Many have died as a result, what was it! A gas or germiside of some kind. My wifes Uncle nearly died as he returned home and he was as healthly as a horse before he went. Now in his 30's his heart is bad among other things! I trust my President and he knows something!

This one seems to offer an alternate explanation for the Gulf War illnesses, one we created with the materials we use for weaponry:

Dr. Doug Rokke, a nuclear health physicist that headed a group of 100 men to salvage equipment in Iraq after the 1991 war, is a strong advocate for the ban of DU in weaponry. Rokke has a myriad of illnesses related to that experience which include kidney and lung damage, brain lesions, chronic fatigue, body pain and skin lesions. I'm in a somewhat similar boat (can't go into details, though). So I tell you this from my experience.

Chances are the only people who can tell you for sure "what they were" are not allowed to tell anyone for the same reason your dad can't tell you how he knows.

If your dad cannot tell you what they were, then it means - well - all you are going to get from us is speculation.

I saw a pic of a dug up MIG in the desert. I dont need any more proof. They are out there, but God only knows where

Um, at the risk of sounding dumb, what's an MIG?

I believe there were WMDs in Iraq, whether or not they are still there, I have no idea.

Saddam Hussein actually threatened, if anyone remembers, way back when we were going to invade Baghdad, to use chemical weapons on our troops once they got within a certain radius of the city, but I don't remember what that radius was.

Given that and Saddam's years and years of open defiance after he lost in Kuwait to UN sanctions and inspections attempts, I think there is good evidence that Saddam was hiding some sort of WMD. Unless, of course, all of that buisness with Blix was just to be inflammatory, which I find hard to believe.

Oh, and a MiG is a particular brand of Russian combat jet (not a WMD by any stretch of the imagination), but then, I didn't know that Saddam's Iraq even had an air force. *scratches head*

Three independent commissions and President Bush himself has said that we were wrong about Iraq still having WMD stockpiles. I think that pretty much settles it.
