Kay: I guess you didn't read the whole thread. Do you know anyone saved through the preaching of Benny Hinn? I don't. I do know many who have been turned off of Christianity because of him. Non-Christians laugh at his antics, his extravagant lifestyle and they laugh at the dumb Christians who send him money. He is turning far more off than on.

It's like you're saying that it's okay for a false prophet to keep preaching as long as people are saved? Is this what you're saying?

Is this the thread that has the audio clips of Benny's false prophesies? If not, I'll find them again.

Anyway, please read the whole thread and then decide what you think.

I also know someone who beleived they were healed at a Benny Hinn concert. The young man was supposedly healed from asthma, right on Benny Hinn's stage. His father was telling us all about it. An hour later, we see the young man using his inhaler. My husband asked why he was still using an inhaler and apparantly, the young man was only 'partially healed'. Does this make sense to anyone? My feeling? The young man bought into the hype and all and believed he was healed - just like most proclaim when they're there on the stage. He wasn't really healed. Does God partially heal? No! Does God heal? Of course! Does He need Benny Hinn? No way!

I have been there many times. The problem that I have with it is he spends the first hour explaining why you are not going to be healed if you don't have the faith. Well pardon me but JESUS and the apostles and the first church healed with their faith or the persons servants faith or the one who was being healds faith. And the apostles and the first church did not pass around the collection plate to further assault those who went away the same way they came. I stood in the parking lot and observed intently those of the real audience who came in wheelchairs left in wheelchairs. These are my opinions and observations for what its worth.

Some years back during the Jim Bakker scandal, Ray Stevens came out with a song entitled "Would Jesus Wear a Rolex?" He talked about this guy on TV wearing a designer suit with "$10,000 on his arm." The song was meant as a comedic gesture from Ray, but I think there is a tone of truth in it. I have nothing wrong with a guy having nice things, but not at the expense of poor people!
