Baby comes as shock

April Branum went to her local emergency room Monday night complaining of stomach pain and emerged with the biggest shock of her life. She was pregnant with a full-term fetus.

Doctors, who discovered the baby when they took X-rays of her abdominal area, immediately sent Branum to UCI Medical Center in Orange for prenatal testing.

The fetus's lungs were fully developed, the heartbeat was strong, and no defects were detected. The baby was ready to be delivered.

Two days later, the first-time mother gave birth by C-section to a healthy, 7-pound, 7-ounce boy named Walter Scott Edwards III.

"Usually you can tell if you're pregnant, but with me, I couldn't tell," the 39-year-old Garden Grove resident said Thursday, pointing to her belly and explaining that, at about 420 pounds, she was so large that no one

The poor dear, she missed out on the easiest part of child rearing. Lets pray that she takes off some of that weight, for her sake as well as the baby's and her husband's, and tries again. There is nothing like carrying a baby under your heart.

I actually know of a young girl I used to work with. She had no idea she was pregnant. She thought she was putting on weight so started eating nothing but fruit. One night (Valentine's Day as it happened) her Dad heard her screaming in the toilet where she had just delivered a baby she knew nothing about!!

Believe it or not, she did exactly the same thing a couple of years later with a different father - again she didn't know (wouldn't you think she would have after the first time - dur ). She was still a teenager and her poor Mum ended up having to bring up both babies!

I'm thrilled that the baby is OK, but the mom and dad did not get to enjoy the pregnancy which is just plain wonderful! The good news is that they have a lovely son!

edit:I didn't read anything there on someone being "stupid". Pretty sure you won't find "stupid" in the Bible anywhere as a definition of sin, either, other than a defense(and that's O.T.).

You are correct, using the term "stupid" was not a kind word to say. Extremely naive would be a better one.

You speak of "would-be-Christians" would that make you one or are you speaking in general? From the verses you quote I tend to think it's the latter.
