Who was Jesus when He was not born yet?

I know He always was part of the Trinity, even before the earth was created.

Was He Gods Son even before the creation?

Thanks, ( question from my 17 year old daughter)

Greetings Angels,

Here is a verse for you:

Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Jesus Christ is also known as the "Word"!

John1:1,2

In the beginning was the WORD. and the WORD was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD. He was in the beginning WITH GOD.

John1:14

And the WORD BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us. and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth.

1John5:7

For there are three that bear witness in Heaven: The Father, The WORD, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

John 10:30

I and my Father are ONE

Jesus Christ Is part of the Trinity who has No beginning and No end! That's why other religions who "claim to know God", do not in fact know Him because they Deny Jesus Christ as God! From what I understand Christ is One with God!

Only Christ Saves

Angels I believe that John one is the best chapter to give to your daughter.

Jesus was (and is) the Word mentioned in John 1.

All praise The Ancient of Days

In addition to the verses given above, I'd like to offer a few more, with emphasis on the phrase "only Begotten.":

John 1:14: And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us (and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and reality.

John 1:18: No one has ever seen God; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that every one who believes into Him would not perish, but would have eternal life.

John 3:18: He who believes into Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Acts 13:33: That God has fully fulfilled this promise to us their children in raising up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, "You are My Son; this day have I begotten You.''

1 John 4:9: In this the love of God was manifested among us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might have life and live through Him.

There are two ways of looking at the term "only begotten" above. One way of looking at it, is that Jesus Christ was the Only Begotten Son of God from eternity. The other way of looking at it is that Jesus Christ became the only begotten Son at the moment of His incarnation (birth). The Greek word Monogenes indicates two things. First, it indicates a definite time of creation. Birth is a kind of creation. But also, the word indicates a time of appearing. Like an actor will appear on a stage when the curtain is pulled up. I believe that there are two distinct ussages of the phrase "only begotten" in the Bible: One being used as a title, and the other being used as means of indicating the Lord's incarnation as a human being.

In John 1:14, 18; 3:16, and 1 John 4:9 it the phrase is used as a title, indicating Christ's status as the Only Begotten Son of God from eternity. This may be said to be Christ's divine title of Sonship. In these verses the Bible tells us that God sent His Only Begotten to be born of the virgin Mary, and to die for the sins of the world. Clearly these verses tell us that Jesus Christ was always God's Only Begotten Son. He was in the bosom (by the side of, even in the side) of the Father, before His incarnation and even as a man walking the earth.

John 3:18 and Acts 13:33 declare the Lord Jesus' status as the firstborn son of God through incarnation. Actually, if you examine the Bible closely, you will see that Jesus Christ had two "begettings": First, Jesus Christ was incarnated as a man. This is the first begetting. The Lord Jesus, the eternal One, was begotten in the womb of the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit (Matt. 1:20). Second, Jesus' resurrection from the dead was typified by birth. In His resurrected state Jesus is given the title "Firstborn" (Firstborn from among the dead, Firstborn of creation, etc. - see Rom8:29; Col. 1:15, 18; Heb. 1:6; Rev. 1:5).

When we read the Bible concerning Jesus Christ, we always see two things: We see His divinity and His humanity. The Bible declares that the Lord Jesus was 100% God, and yet also 100% man. The titles of Christ declare these two wonderful facts. For example, Romans 1:3-4 we read that Jesus Christ is the seed of David according to the flesh, and He is also the Son of God according to the Spirit of power. On the one hand Jesus Christ was the firstborn son of Mary (Luke 2:7) and on the other hand He is the Firstborn among many brothers (Rom. 8:29) through resurrection. (Regeneration is nothing less than being begotten of God

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
