Teri: "Even within our english scriptures is contradictions. To sin is to die."

Rom.8

[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

[2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Teri: "If you are a sinner you will be thrown in a lake of eternal fire, all men are sinners and if anyone says their not they are a liar. So out of all of that we are all going to either die, or be thrown in a lake of eternal torment. So if we just pluck out those words out of the scriptures without truly understanding the whole of scripture then we have a dilema because which is it am I going to die or am I going to be eternally tormented? All men everywhere have a natural death so it can not mean that because we all die, none of us are getting out of this alive.

If you go to the OT and read about the priesthood of Aaron it is going to last forever, except for one problem it didn't , it was passed on to the priesthood of Melchizedek. Christ came through the tribe of Judah and is not of the Levite priesthood and he's our high priest. Go to Jonah and he says he is in Sheol forever, except he wasn't he was there for only 3 days."

Heb. 7

[11] If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

[12] For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

[13] For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

[14] For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

[15] And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

[16] Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

[17] For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

[18] For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

[19] For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

[20] And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

[21] (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

[22] By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

[23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

[24] But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

[25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

[26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

[27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

[28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

As for Jonah, "forever" is probably exactly what it felt like to him at the time.

I did start this for a reason, Teri. I like to refute false teaching whenever I can.

(Put on your blasphmy goggles)

The Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and that the reason they don't get along is because Eloheim (God) chose Jesus' plan of humankind salvation over Satan's.

They also believe that there are 3 different levels of heaven and that the worst of us go to the lowest level which is described as an earth that is back to perfect.

The highest level can only be attained by being a 'good' Mormon and getting married in the 'temple' and doing all that mess.

(Take your blasphmy goggles off now)

Thanks, endure, for the info about the Mormon belief. One thing, though, don't put those goggles out of reach, just yet!

Great post on Hebrews 7, Calamity. This chapter holds so many teachings it is amazing. I wanted to delve into this but it is the wrong thread to do it in. I don't want to get off topic here.

Rick: Your story does give us some idea of eternity doesn't it. It was great.

endure: Great post!

Amen! Blasphemey goggles handy. Mine are red for the "Blood of Jesus."

What color are ya'lls "Blasphemey Glasses" and why are they the color you chose?

Amen Calamity. That is what our Lord would have us do.

Calamity, Jonah did not think he was in Sheol forever. The original word in the Hebrew is Olam, which means a period of time which is concealed or hidden. So Jonah thought he was in Sheol for a period of time, not forever. The word Olam was mistranslated into the english word forever instead of for a length of time. See we don't have to gloss over a wrong written word, and make up what we think Jonah might have felt like, we can go find out what the real original word is and light is shed into a dark place.

And the show of the change of the priesthood in Hebrews only tells me you know where it is in the NT, now explain it. And then explain why the OT in the english says forever in relation to the priesthood of Aaron, when in fact it was not ever going to be forever per Gods plan. Now we could say well the Levites probably thought it was going to be forever, or we can look up the original word that was there before the translation in english came about and low and behold it never said forever, but it did say olam.

And please explain how we are going to die in an eternal fire.

And Dove if Jesus is a shadow of Christ, and we are to follow Him consider where we would be following Him for three days. Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it? And by the way Dove I have never ever stated I will be God, nor that any human being will somehow turn into God. I am only just another member in the Body of Chirst. A bunch of dirt that some heavenly water was dumped on to make clay and now reside in the hands of the potter. I didn't create my dirt nor do I take any credit for the dirt I am because that would be silly. I'm asking you kindly not to make up lies about me to twist things around. Just stick with the truth and we will all be ok. Anyway I'm going to leave for a while and let things calm down, I think it's time for prayer and study. I just really hope that anyone interested is taking the time to look at the original transcripts and consider what it means. I didn't write the Bible and neither did the people who translated it, and if there be wrongs I'm sure God had a very good reason for it that I don't quite understand. And it can not hurt a person who is new here to look into the original writings of the Apostles, or the OT because there in lies the root of the Word.

In Yeshua's never ending mercies and love

Teri

I don't know what color they are, but they are shaped in the form of an old rugged cross.

Teri, I'm not a Bible scholar. I cannot explain everything in the Bible to you, or to anyone else. But, I know enough to know, that not all are going to Heaven. John 3:16 sums it up pretty good, and you don't have to be an expert scholar to understand that, and other verses like it.

Let me ask you, Teri, do you believe a person even needs to be saved at all? Does it matter, or not? Is it that if they do accept Christ as their Savior, then they will escape the lake of fire, or firey lake, totally, and if they don't then they'll be sent there for a time, until they're purified and their sins are all gone, and then get out, and eventually be in Heaven? Is that what you're saying in a nutshell? A simple "yes" or "no", would help me a lot, to see where you're coming from here.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
