If a child lets say hypothetically is responsible at age 12, what about the children raised by Atheist parents, or by parents who belive in a god but just don't practice any of the biblical morals etc? How can they be accountable if they aren't allowed to be around the Word? Jaime The Word is still around jmelrok. The Lord is still in the business of revealing Himself, even to the children of atheists. I know, my ministry that the Lord has given me is Childrens' Evangelism. God is still speaking in many ways to the lost children as well. I am sent into public schools by the Lord. He made it possible. And not only that, my children go with me to witness and present the gospel to the children. And you know the funny thing (God has a sense of humor) We are homeschoolers! Ha! How's that for irony. And the schools welcome us in, because the Lord made it possible, that was His will, and I was willing to go! In His Love, Suzanne
Guest LadyC
i think this got overlooked when i said it earlier... and i do believe it's a good guideline for determining the "age" of accountability, whether one was brought up in an athiest home or a christian one. i cleaned up my grammar in the quote. our relationship with our parents is a reflection of our relationship with our heavenly Father. i believe that when a child reaches an age when he no longer accept at face value what their parents teach him, and become rebellious against them, he have become "accountable". when a child begins to seriously challenge authority in rebellious defiance of possible consequences, that age has been reached. Gee, I sure hope so. Some of us were not here for the first time, and if there is not an age of accountability I'd like to know how babies fare in the afterlife
