When a church is led by the Holy Spirit, its members are fed through God's word, and they hunger for more, and not only hear , they do! Their lives are a light to those they come into contact with. Their testimonies are inspiring to the lost, who seek hope, and many they come into contact with, ask where did they find this peace? , and are led to Jesus. This doesnt come from a pastor, but from an individual's surrendered life.

So personally, I feel like if anyone wants a Holy Spirit led church. All they have to do is follow the Holy Spirit's call. He leads, we follow.

I know that at some time, we all fail to follow as we should, But one of the most memorable statements I can recall in a church seeking revival, was " If there is to be revival, let it begin with me." That I agree with.

Rick

Amen Rick! What I have found, is that the Holy Spirit is always speaking to us. Always guiding us. Always teaching us. It is up to us to listen, to hear, to receive. The Holy spirit is not limited to the one standing in the pulpit, but can work through the man at the front door, or the woman in the nursery, or the auto mechanic down the street. It is OUR responsibility to hear and obey.

Great post Rick! :read:

Pastors are human.......

do I blame my pastor if my pastor is not doing as I want him to do????

no.....

he is one of Gods annointed......

most of what happens to people is of their own doing...

if we do not like the way the pastor is running the church, then we need to look at the way we are running the church, for the pastor ( for the most part ) is our employee.....

the pastors job is to train us to take over his position, so that we can go and train others to take that position so they can train others to take that position....

the pastor should be trying to work himself out of a job...

OUR JOB is to ween ourselves off of the milk, and start eating on our own......

if the pastor is so bussy feeding us milk, the pastor has no time to do other things...... it is time we break the apron strings and start feeding off of God instead of the Pastor..... the pastor also needs to be nurished... the pastor should be feasting off of God so he can continue to nurture new children in Christ, not those that are just tooo lazy to get up and feed them selves.....

God wants to feed you directly, not thru some one else....

are we like baby birds? where mamma has to chew up the food and then feed regurgitated ( puke ) food to us??? stuff that is already digested?????? I dont want to be, I saivor the taste of being in the Spirit so much I want more, the taste is so wonderful....why would I want an already digested story of God, why would I want the Spirit of God diluted...... I want the full force..... I want a full overflowing portion of the Holy Spirit... not some watered down milk in a bottle, my teeth are strong, I can chew the meat......

why blame the annointed one? when we are supppost to be edifying the body, we are blaming the body.... Head, you do nothing more then get bumped all the time, you can not hold a hammer, or you can not take the body anywhere, you are not needed..... hand, you do not digest food, you do not do any thinking, let us do away with you..... ..............

We voted and hired the pastor, if the pastor is not preaching the truth, is watering down the Word of God, not preaching as you feel he should be, set up an appointment and speak with him......

your pastor may have lost focus... which means we need to readjust the focus knob......

your pastor may be preachign the way he is because he will loose his job if he dont...... ( that is the voice of the voting members ).......

again, you should not be relying on your pastor to be making the increase in the church building...... you see, the Pastor is the shepherd, and the last time I knew, it was physically/biologically impossible for a shepherd to produce more sheep........

only sheep can produce more sheep..... not the shepherd.....

the pastor is not the one that will keep people coming to church, it is the rest of the congregation......

we much continue to reach out.....

the pastors job is to train us........ so we can be self sufficient......

i have seen pastors fired / released from their local fellowship for preaching the word, I have seen local church fellowships die out because the congregation did not serve the pastor ( support the pastor, ) by actually going against the word of God to get rid of them......

so,

WHO IS REALLY TO BLAME?????

if my church fellowship fails, do I blame the pastor? ordo I look in my own heart to see what I have been doing?? have I been warming a pew? or have I been working to fill the pews so that I no longer have a place to sit????

the fellowship I attend at this time is packed, I lost the seat I use to sit in.... why???? cause of the increase.... and you know... it dont matter..... I like the front row, left center...... most the time anymore I have to hunt for a seat and I am just over joyed..... I still like that seat, but that seat is not what makes it so I can worship.....

did the pastor cause this increase???? no.......

the congregation did.......

the pastor is continuing to train small groups and those small groups are training other small groups who in turn train others.... and every one is bringing in souls.......

who is to blame for my "normal" seat to be taken?????

hmmmm, good question...... I AM !!!!!!!!!!!

I have to blame myself and Praise the Lord for the loss of "my normal" seat.......

the majority of things that happen to a person, is of their own doings.... not anyone elses... and especially not God or God annointed.....

we are to blame for the decrease in the population in the church body.... the Body is weakening, the muscles are becoming weaker and weaker, for we are not exercising the Body.....

if you was on fire for the Lord 30 years ago, but are not now, you are to blame, not God.... if you are on fire for the Lord now.... continue to feed that fire.... if you see a young person on fire for the Lord, do not drench that fire in water, but fuel that fire with love and support and continue teaching this young person to continue to seek more of the fuel.... teach that young person how to take their nurishment directly from the Lord and not to rely on man to continue to feed them......

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
