I have a question I'd like to ask you guys. Here we go. I was at Wal-Mart today, picking something up... and i was walking around sorta dazed, lost, and confused, not being able to find what i was in search for. I was walking towards the pharamcy area wheren I spotted these 2 little girls, anout 8 and 6, I would guess. I watched as one stuffed a tube of those mini-m&m's into her pocket. I looked away and kept walking, but turned around to see the girl looking right at me. I wanted to say something to her about how its wrong and stuff. I continued to walk off and then decided I should try to find them and say something to them about it or let their mom know. My question is, should I have said something? Should I have located their parent and said something about it? Should I have maybe told a Wal-Mart employee? ;)

It's a sticky situation. If you said something to the kid, you could get into mega-hot water with the parent (who wasn't doing the duties of a parent obviously). I would suggest going to an employee if it happens again. I work at a major department store and we constantly deal with thieves-almost on a day to day basis. It may be M&M's today, but tomorrow, it's Nike's from J.C. Penney!

Grace to you,

No more typo bro.

I probably would have said some words to get to their conscience. Like ,"You should probably take those to your mother so she can pay for them for ya."

Then I would fervrently pray that the Lord work out His will in their lives and the lives of their parents.

Simply because when I go to Wal Mart my children about those ages are simply not allowed out of my sight. ;)

Peace little bro, seek the Lord even tonight for them,

Dave

Andrew,

Herein lies the problem. For years now, as a result of the misguided feel good policies of the Johnson administration, we have dealt with a monstrosity called welfare. What was intended as a helping hand to those less fortunate became a way of life for some. They came to believe that anything they wanted should be given to them, even if it meant stealing for it. Now, we are dealing with a 3rd generation who has grown up with this mentality. Adding more laws to the books isn't stopping it, nor will ending welfare. We have got to spread the Good News of Christ to these people.

Thats one thing that popped into my head. If things like m&ms isnt stopped before they reach a greater age, it will become a big problem for them. m&ms turn into nikes and nikes into cars. why aren't parents doing their duty teaching their children right from wrong these days?!

I completely understand. You know I feel as though since the parents aren't teaching morals in the home anymore, maybe we could start to include them more in our elementary scools. Could this help solve our problem? Or maybe you're right, and only the love of Christ Jesus in their heart can stop this.

Problem is, the schools are influenced heavily by the liberal line of thinking. You'll never see morals taught. If you'll remember, it was Jocelyn Elders, Surgeon General during the Clinton Administration, who lit a powder keg suggesting sexual ed be taught in Kindergarten! These are the same people who want to hand out "protection" to the youth instead of teaching them one woman/one man/one lifetime. They, of course, will never openly condone theft, but I don't foresee their speaking AGAINST it. And, if morality were given a shot, the ACLU would be there to sue claiming some frivolous church/state separation issue! Morality won't hold a chance without it's other part-the message of Christ.

I totally agree that the Message of Christ is the answer to all things, and prayer ta boot. But I also believe that it is our job to correct those young ones when you see them doing wrong....so what if you take the chance the parent won't like it. I can tell you from experience that is very seldom, they are generally happy that you noticed and said something. Always approach it lovingly and not in a way that they feel attacked but to prick their conscience enough that they feel guilty or even fear. A little fear doesn't hurt them, it makes them think. • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
