This is false. If they are the words of a man, then they are framed in a book which is not entirely the Word of God. Therefore, the Word of God becomes a lie when it says, "All Scripture is God-breathed."

The author of that article obviously does not believe that the Bible is the complete Word of God.

It is not false. You've made illogical conclusions.

I think it is foolish not to acknowledge that G-d can and does use women in the work of His ministry. We see Deborah, Esther, Ruth and others. In church history there are great women of G-d like Mary Fletcher and Priscilla Gurney.

In Paul's day, in the Roman world as it existed then, women were given a prominent place in the heathen religions of the day. The worship of Aphrodite at Corinth, for example, involved all manner of sexual perversion and prostitution within the temple walls. There were more than a thousand temple virgins in the temple of Aphrodite atop the Acropolis at Corinth, all of whom were prostitutes. A Corinthian could recognize the prostitute by her messy and disheveled hair, which is why Paul admonished women to keep their heads covered, so that they would never be associated with those prostitutes.

In Ephesus, during Timothy's time, women were used in worship as well, this time in the temple of Diana. In all these pagan religions, in fact, there were royal priestesses. It is because of these pagan practices involving women that Paul gives his opinion concerning women in the church.

Paul makes it clear in 1 Tim 2:9-10 that women could most certainly pray in public. He says "In like manner," as men pray, so women are to pray in a particular way. And Paul goes on to instruct them on how to pray in public. He emphasizes inner adornment, their attitude, unlike their counterparts in Diana's temple, Christian women were not to be bold and brash and loud. Women in the church are not to dress in a sexual way, seeking G-d's approval. Women, in opposition to the many prostitutes of the day, were to be modest in appearance and in attitude to distinguish themselves from the pagan women.

Then in 1 Tim 2:11-12, Paul is talking about the teaching and learning of doctrine within the church. But you must remember that the women of Paul's day actually led in the perverse religious practices, which were generally recognized as orgies. So Paul is warning women not to speak publicly if they intend to revert to worship on the basis of sex, as they had been accustomed to doing before they left the temple.

The remaining verses speak of the sin of Eve. Her sin brought sin into the world. And as Guthrie has observed, every time a woman bears a child, she brings a sinner into the world. However, of note is that Mary brought Jesus into the world; salvation was brought into the world by childbearing. While it may be true that a woman brought sin into the world, it was also a woman who brought the Savior into the world.

this is for those that understand the significance of the letters.

i believe in rewards and I believe the letters are for all Christians throughout the decades.

The letter applies also to the Churches.

feel free to reject it if you want BUT i do not.

To the Church in Thyatira

18"And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: 'The words of the Son of God,(AQ) who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.

19(AR) "'I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first. 20But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman(AS) Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants[c](AT) to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. 21I gave her time to repent, but(AU) she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality. 22Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, 23and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he(AV) who searches mind and heart, and(AW) I will give to each of you according to your works. 24But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call(AX) the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I(AY) do not lay on you any other burden. 25Only hold fast(AZ) what you have until I come.

1. This is not Jezebel from the OT because by the time this letter was written...Jezebel was already dead.

2. sexual immorality in this context is in the spiritual form. The Christian church does not have physical sex with Jezebel.

3. Eating food sacrificed to idol:

1 Cor 10:"21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons. 22Are we trying to arouse the Lord's jealousy? Are we stronger than he?"

Before someone says that Paul is speaking of idolotry keep in mind that idols "1 Cor 8:We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one."

you see an idol is nothing but one cannot say that they partake supper with Christ and at the same time are disloyal at the table.

some people have translated this Jezebel at Thyatira as the Church but it cant be a church within the Church. This is for those believers within it and what they are doing.

Reject it if you want but the more you read it the more one can see that you will lose rewards.

You wont lose salvation however if tribualtions come..you will not be raptured.

thats a harsh pill but read the passage a couple of times "I will throw into great tribulation,"

again, not everyone here understands the letters but those that do i hope i've raised an eyebrow.

If it doesnt phase you then reject this passage and call me crazy. :)

So what is your conclusion on how what you have indicated above should be applied to the local church?

Oh No!

Handmaidens Speaking God's Words

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Acts 2:17-18

To prophesy is not to teach. They are separate functions in the Body.

The entirety of scripture is a "prophetic message"? I think we should recognize that the Bible is sufficient for our needs and that most (if not all) "prophetic messages" uttered through a gift of prophecy should be an expounding or forth telling of scripture and not "...God wants you to get married to soandso..", or something like that.

"The Talmud teaches that there were hundreds of thousands of prophets, but Scripture quotes only fifty-five. What did the rest of them do, and why are so few mentioned in Scripture?

Be definition, prophets are people who had refined their minds and conduct sufficiently to deserve that God

Hello there brothers ans sisters. Number one I would like to say that there is a curse for anyone who adds to the words of God and to one who takes away from the words of God.. its in Revelations.

2nd The word URSURP i think needs to be defined here. I won't get into the greek. It means to seize by FORCE, without LEGAL AUTHORITY! To possess wrongfully. I have yet known a woman to do that personally and I most certainly have never overpowered a mans authority. Just because we are christians does not mean we are perfect and do not have human frailities.

Has anyone here been in the audience of katherine kuhlman. The recorded reflection of light in her eyes should not be considered demonic even today it is hard to get the red out of the eyes of pictures. Satan cannot cast out satan. Demons fleed in her presence. If you were not there hold back on your judgement please.

3. the christian church and the bride are two different things. The church is falling apart due to the fact it is complacent...lost its first love and seeking what can be given and not the giver. The bride Is making herself ready. Remeber one is left, two christians are walking together there. Remember the story of the 10 virgins. half were ready. So I consider it dismal to have a chuch full of believers and the possibility of 50% not making it. Then You have God saying it will be hard to find a man of faith in the last days.

4. If God can speak through a donkey , He can speak through anyone He pleases. He said even the rocks and stones would cry out. The earth cries for redemtion

5. Jesus came through Mary due to the Fact that Josephs line was cursed, (his sperm through jeconiah)

6. God told adam not to eat of the tree...adam was standing right there while eve plucked the fruit took a bite and HANDED it to Adam, although eve was made aware adam did nothing to stop her.

7esther saved the hebrew race, rahab did a mighty work as well. Jesus may have picked out both men and woman if men thought woman as a little more than chattle..

it says that your children will dream dreamsect. not your boys. and the word man is used to mean both look it up patrish

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
