The AV1611 website is full of hate and division. I showed it to a friend last night as we got onto the subject of KJV Only and she was totally amazed at the tone of that site.

I checked that site out, and don't see what you are talking about. What is "hateful" about it?? All I saw was numerous Scriptural references to back up his idea of hell.

As for the opening part of the doctor who was "sure" the patient was in hell - I don't buy it. The body and mind are very complex and somtimes strange things. When in physical trauma, anything is possible and can really "feel" and look "real". The doctor's interpretation of what he saw is in no way is proof. Ever have a screaming, sweating nightmare?? A simple explanation.

As for the second link - ROTFL!! C'mon!!!!!! Let's get real folks.

I only looked at the first link. I liked it. If someone thinks I'm a flake, oh well..

I read Rawlings first book, "To Hell and Back" and having read the whole book this is just a cardio doctor who happened to run into too many cases of the "Hell" experience.

The guy who was in "hell" was a guy he'd had on the treadmill for the stress test. While on the mill, he collapsed from a heart attack.

Right then, the doctor and staff got the pacemaker put in immediately *without anestheisa....not enough time for that. The guy snapped out of the "flat line" and became conscious but was freaking out and screaming, "I need to pray to Jesus" or something like that.

This guy was suddenly crying out for Jesus Christ and he hadn't been a Christian before.

The patient got the doc to go along with this and the doc (Rawlings) made up some fine sounding prayer like, "Jesus come into my heart and forgive my sins."

The doctor said he really didn't know how to pray or what to say...but that's what came out. The patient repeated it with tears in his eyes and eventually made a full recovery.

That was one of many experience the good ol' doc had with his patients. He finally came to the conclusion that he was seeing too many of these people getting defibulated back into their bodies and crying out for Jesus to save them.

After a while, he had some serious second thoughts.

So, I wouldn't write off Rawlings so quickly. I really believe people do taste hell (or heaven, depending) and it might buy them the time they need to cry out in repentence, "God help me; save me!"

You still think it's all in his mind...cool.

To each his own. I don't. My husband fell 25 feet from a scaffolding 20 years ago and hit concrete. He worked construction and broke a whole lotta bones. They said he should've been dead.

While in the ER on the gurney, he said he suddenly seemed to leave his body and saw a tunnel of light...real white light. Then he came back into the painful body he'd left.

He said he never said anything because there's too many people, like some here, who'd just laugh and tell him he was crazy or imagining things.

He doesn't think so, hence he keeps it to himself. Alot of people don't talk because people will just laugh at them anyways, so why bother. No one believes them.

Well, I for one...do believe them. So, there it is..

OOPS!!! :x:

All apologies!

I was thinking of Gail Riplingers website:

http://www.avpublications.com/

She is very adamant about the KJV being the only Bible and all English non-KJV Bibles are Satanic in origin.

How much further would the Kingdom have gone through her if she would be that adamant at just spreading the name of Jesus?

Oh, good! I thought either I was nuts, or just a hateful person that didn't know "hate" when I saw it. LOL!

I still have a hard time figuring out why a person that is so set against believing in heaven or hell, or God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, or lucifer and his followers would even bother wasting their time in a Christian site......

I dont have enough time to spend the time I would like in them....... so I sure dont go out looking for athiest or agnostic sites, or satanist sites..... dont need to do that...

I do spend more and more time searching ( researching ) for more and more information on God and His creation...

you know, God does not want you to go to hell,

hell was not designed for man, it was designed and made for the fallen angels.... created for satan and his mautly crew..... but if man is going to follow them, then it will also house them thru-out eternity....

God created man to be with Him, not with satan..... but God also gave us a choice... God loves us so much that he has given us the wonderful gift of choice, and we can either pick God and Heaven, or satan and hell..... if we do not pick, our destiny is with satan in hell......

it really dont matter the location, I was asking in accordance with the Bible...... where does the Bible say it is???

according to what I have read, it is below, beneith us, for we would have to "DECEND" to it.....

there are some that say that the center of the earth is hoter then the surface of the sun? according to some the space needed to contain all the people that have ever lived on this earth is a sphere that is about 100 miles in diameter? the earth is around 7000 miles in diameter...

the Bible talks about it being dark, and firey.......

some think that when you have fire, that it is totally light, like sitting around a camp fire..... or a bunch of candles...

for those that have been inside a burning building, totally engulfed in flames...... it is dark...... you can have fire completely around you and it will be totally dark.... you can not see for the darkness.......

there are many verses that speak of hell,

Choose Jesus = Choose Heaven

choose satan = choose hell

hell is as real as that tree in your yard, if you do not choose God, you are choosing satan.... those walking the fence will belong to satan....

the choice is yours..... you do not have to choose satan to be satans, the lack of choosing God is all it will take to choose satan......

you are either with God or against God, no middle ground....

mike

I agree with that Mike but I also want to add that we need to be generous when it comes to those who ride the fence.

I'm married to such a man; he's not as involved and he doesn't feel the compelling feeling I have toward the gospel. Bt He believes I figure there must be different levels of commitment and different callings...

I worry because my husband seems a bit too lethargic but then, at his age, maybe that's the reason...his age.

I can only assume that's why...but I do concern myeslef with how commited a person is when they accept Jesus Christ. He should be first and foremost throughout the whole entirety of a person's life.

It just seems some are not as "gung ho" as others are...and when they're not as we are, I wonder if they are in right stnding with Father.

I guess it really does depend largely on where a person is at in their "walk" on the journey...

Cat,

a fence rider is neither choosing one side or the other...

some one that is not "gung ho" may have made a choice, but as you said, not quite as outgoing with showing their love off for the Lord ( so to speak ).....

a fence rider has not chosen, there fore, has chosen satan......

some one that is not gung ho, is like some one that is reserved...... simular to teens.... you will see some boys and girls (steadies), that can not hardly stand to be apart from one another, and others that well, they hold hands some times and dont seem to be too upset when they are apart from one another.....

kind of like Teresa says, our relationship with our spouse is like a reflection of our relationship with the Lord....

Teresa and me cant hardly stand to be apart..... the more i am with her, the more i want to be with her, hold hands? absolutely, every chance i get..... cuddle? yep, that too.... do I sit with her in church? Yes Sir Ree Bob... with my arm around her and we share our Bible, and song book and church and sunday school journal..... there are some that are lucky to be sitting on the same row...... some do have their children between them, ( acting as referees.....)

some people do not concern themselves about how others view them when they are showing emotion, or affection.... others are really reserved, part of this is the cultural upbringing...... my step dad does not show emotion at all ( cept anger ) if you are lucky you may catch a glimsp of him some time or other where he is letting emotion loose, but in a very controled environment.... that does not mean he dont love the Lord, he is just one not to be sporting it out like my sons and Teresa and me do.....

he would be one that would say that wittnessing phrases on the back of the business cards in not politically correct..... I like them there .... cause I can either hand them out as business cards, or hand them to people as a wittnessing tool...... dual purpose cards...

what I was saying about a fence walker, is one that has not chosen either side, in all actuallity, has chosen their destiny..... what is written, is that those that are not for Him, are against Him.... if they have not chosen God, they are against God..... if they have not chosen Christ, they are against Christ......

this is illistrated in this story......

this man dies, and he finds himself in this field..... it is enclosed and there is no way out of this field....

there are a number of people in this field and he notices that there are other fields that are ajacent to the one he is in.... and there are people in each of these fields.....

pretty soon he hears a great commotion and there in one field is satan and his taskmasters, his imps with whips and chains driving away the folks in this one field, the noise he is hearing is screams of agony, and pain and torture....... they are driven into a great pit in the ground...

as they disappear from view, he hears a great uproar of cheers and praises, and he looks over to see Jesus in this other field with the folks there, and they are all gathered around him.... and he leads them off to eternity with Him......

this man is thinking how lucky he was..... he was not a bad person, and never did anything really wrong.... had a good life and all, and now he is in this nice field, thinking that Jesus will come back for him cause he was a good person.....

about that time, he feels a tap on his shoulder, he turns and sees satan there, with a couple of his imps.....

the man told him that he had the wrong person, that he was waiting for Jesus....

satan started laughing, and told him that he had been deceived....

the man said I didnt choose you......

and satan said no, you didnt, but you didnt chose Jesus either, so I get you instead of Him.....

*************8

I hope and pray, one day, my step dad will turn and be on fire for the Lord..... totally on fire.....

my father, i fear, did not make the cut.... he relyed on his works, and a false teaching....... when my grandfather and grandmother passed on, there was a total peace, when my father passed on, there was a disturbance....

my grandfather proved that Christ was both devine and mortal.... at the same time...... I only wish i had a copy of the equation

mike

Heaven or hell, it is your choice, each is forever.... if you choose Heaven, you choose Jesus.... if you do not choose Jesus, you are choosing hell...........

I reject that.

Someone can not be "gung-ho" and still in the Lord's will. Not everyone is a leader. Some people don't think in terms of "doing" stuff in a way that can be seen.

It doesn't mean they are in satan's camp.

That judgement is going a little too far

Yes, and I don't think that any are more important than the other either.

The one who cleans toilets and works the sound boards is just as needed in the BODY as the preacher.

Paul talks about that in 1 Cor.

One body, Many parts.

Cats

There is no way I would class your husband as a fence rider, no ma-am. I am nearly as old as him and it's only since I have had this pc that I can get up and express how I feel about Christ and the Word publicly. Sure I'm sitting here out of everone's sight, but this has given me the push to let it all hang out, not only here on the boards, but wherever I happen to be at any given time. People like plumbers or sparkies or anyone comes to our house get an earful of the gospel whether they like it or not. When my wife and I go to the doctors rooms, the chemist the second hand shop, or wherever, we leave behind no doubt as to where we are with the Lord.

Cats you will get a surprise one day, you'll see, because God answers prayer and I for one am praying for you guys. You're family. No one was rougher round the edges than I was but, Praise the Lord I saw the light.

eric.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
