Ahhhh do you think we walk around with guns strapped to our waist or something................. :24:

Actually, thats interesting. I have some friends that went to Texas and said about half the people they saw actually were carrying guns. Now I realize that Texas is not the US... how many people actually carry guns on them?

I have a Carry and Conceal, and I do! I carry mine wherever I go.

note to Marnie..............................but you don't walk around with it strapped to your waist, messes up the flow of your dress! :24:

Yeah, I noticed that. I keep it in my handbag. I also have a Missy Kitty holster, but that's going a bit far, don't you think?

Two shots center mass with a .45 ?!!! Way to go Marnie, most ladies (and many men!) don't use that large a caliber. From one pro to another..:):):)

Only one question, was your husband in bed with you, and did you have to perform C.P.R on him after? :)

Theo: How's your hearing, ear's still ringing? :o

Good old Texas heh?

Its true, here in Texas you can get a licenses to carry a concealed weapon on you or in your vehicle. If you have a bad record on hand then you can't get one. I have the license although I don't carry a weapon on me all the time....but sometimes when traveling I might keep a pistol in the vehicle. You can't carry the weapon into federal buildings and schools and such.

Texas....yeah we're still living it up in the cowboy days.

Take it from this Yank that's transplanted here in S.C, plenty of "Good ol Boys" here are giving the Texan's a run for the money.

I carry a .357 revolver everywhere I go. (I let my permit expire last december, but you only need that in Georgia if you carry outside your home, car or business. There are several guns here at work.)

I have pulled my gun on someone twice since 2000. Both were mugging attempts - but as soon as they saw the gun, they simply could NOT run fast enough!

Sure, I carry a gun - I am NOT going to respond from a position of weakness when confronted with a threat against me.

:24: I was single than, actually. That Smith is an awesome weapon; kind of a take off of the Glock 9mm.

Note: As a former Cop I must advise anyone don't "shoot to wound". You'll most likely either get sued or put in jail. If you or a loved one is in immenint danger to serious bodliy injury or death.....shoot "center mass". If he's armed and you shoot him in the leg, your probably going to see Jesus a little early.

Marnie: Did you give that nightgown a chance to surrender before you shot?

:) No, but I did give it a proper burial, with full honors. It was a good dress and served me very well. It just got in the way.

I received my firearm training at Quantico, among other places, and "shoot to kill" is a good motto. And never point your weapon at anybody unless you intend to discharge it.

I have not problem with anybody owning an assault weapon, provided they have the training to use it. If the criminal element has access to them (albeit illegally) then honest citizens should, as well. Heck, I'd own a cannon if I could get my hands on one.

I can get you one, their around 4500 for the basic model! :)

Hey mike! If the pellet gun is easily capable of killing a human, then yes, I think it should fall under the same rules as normal weapons. The kind I was using however... well you'd have a better chance of killing someone by hitting them with it than shooting them with it. One of my shots rebounded and hit my leg and well... I hardly even noticed it. I'm quite confident that you could shoot it point blank at someone and end up with little more than a bruise. Although I'm not sure if it legal to even carry pellet guns in Canada.

A pellet gun can kill a person...if you get shot in the temple with it you'll be dead right quick.

I'm not 100% on our laws regarding pellet guns, but I'm fairly sure you don't need a licence for them, but you're not allowed to carry one around in public, nor buy it or the ammunition for it if your under 18.

That sounds about right. Although even if they were legal to carry I doubt anyone would. Carrying guns in public just isn't done in Canada. I suspect if I walked down the street with a pellet gun, someone would probably call the cops.

Uhmmm yeah i do  sometimes , i used to have under the arm holsters :)

carried one in each, one in a belt holster on my back, and one in my boot.

Sold! Can I get it across the state line?? :) It should have a silencer, too. I wouldn't want to neighbors to get jealous of my firepower.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
