Looks like you are over reacting again, Buck me old mate.

No eric, I don't think I am over-reacting, I just believe that we have a duty to warn others of evil, and this is evil. It is one of those "cross the line"/gee there is no line any more to cross, oh well" situations.

I also believe in "there, but for the Grace of God, go I", and it could be my grandchild who is "tasered" next or the child or grandchild of any one of you. Then will you remember "cheering the law on" and joining in the chorus of "electrocute these thugs, they deserve it"?

Police officers are human beings like the rest of us ...they are doing a job that most of us wouldn't want to do for three times the pay they get . Yes there are a few who let power go to their head as there are in ANY profession ( do you want to see how many doctors and nurses have been charged with multiply counts of murder ?) but in this country at least they are acountable for EVERY action they make and if you think you would like to do their job unarmed and helpless in the face of thugs ...no matter what the age ...that, as sweety says, know their "rights" and have NO hesitation in attacking old people younger or vunerable children of the same age /older/younger than themselves knowing that the law can and will do NOTHING to them then please be my guest.

I would much sooner see them disarmed with a taser than with a gun or a baton or even being allowed to get away with thuggery so often that they spend the rest of their adult lives in prison cos they think they are always going to be invincible.

I don't know what sort of people get recruited to the police force where you live but here THE MAJORITY ARE DECENT CARING AND COMPASSIONATE ....... do you want to go and tell some mother that her 6 years old playing with those lolly sticks has been kicked to death or shot in the neck just because a "child" must not be stopped from behaving in a violent way ?

I have yet to see any police officer attack a child for dropping litter so maybe it is time to stop the potentially inflammatory remarks and see why we actually need a way to protect our children from violence without resorting to bringing in armed police that most other countries have got .........and teach them not to drop litter :o

LadyP if the police in your country really are: "acountable for EVERY action they make", this is incredibly unusual. In NZ (and in America if what I read is correct, and I will take a lot of convincing to make me believe otherwise as I can think of several incidents in the news just "off the top of my head") the absolute opposite is true. Very few police are ever accountable for their actions, they enjoy a special privilege and are very rarely held to account for anything. I was listening to a local talkback radio host this afternoon and it was sickening as he almost worships the police, as the media seem to do in this country as well. And it is amazing what they can get away with - things that you or I would be in jail pretty smartly for. And for political reasons this government has had to recruit a lot more police lately and so has "shifted the goalposts" - or dropped the standards, resulting in the fact that some new recruits have had to be taught basic reading skills. I am not exaggerating either.

I don't doubt, of course, that there exists many, many teenage or juvenille gangs of thugs who commit horribly violent acts, I am just querying whether or not we should trust police to know the difference between the child who brings a threat of violence against them and one who does not - or pregnant woman (guilty or innocent) after all her baby is ALWAYS innocent and it is her baby who would be electrocuted too.

And you say: "do you want to go and tell some mother that her 6 years old playing with those lolly sticks has been kicked to death or shot in the neck......" Well do YOU want to tell some mother that her 6 year old playing with those lolly sticks has been electrocuted by police and is now fighting for his life after he has had a heart attack or is dead due to having a heart attack while being 'tasered'"?

In reply I could also get all sanctimoneous and accuse you of "seeing everything through rose tinted glasses" or burying your head in the sand".

But would it be appropriate?

No mate, it's not that, but as christians, we all know what's going to happen and that it's going to get rougher. To me, at anyrate, what is happening is going to keep on happening, because it is in God's ordinances. All the bucking the system in the world is not going to stop the anti christ's new world order from being instituted. When you are posting on this board, bucko, you are preaching to the choir. Conspiracy theories of any sort are not appreciated on this board.

Sorry, mate, but you keep scratching the same old itch.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
