Magog and Armageddon

The last war is the FINAL war and it means what it says that all things will be destroyed and fall as it says. God has prepared for us a new Jerusalem and will be our new home. Why is this so hard to believe!? Yes in the great quake there will be nothing left!!! That is what the word says so believe what it says or just keep questioning and let yourself be unprepared for what is coming!:thumbsup:

With all due respect, I am not talking about "the last war." Ezekiel 38 and 39 is not "the last war." Maybe you should try harder to understand what is being argued.

Well we are in disagreement here. The war in Ezekiel is the war of Armageddon! When you read the total devastation in this chapter you have to come to reason that it looks pretty bleak as to who could ever survive such a catastrophy. Let's just leave it at that we disagree.

I have already demonstrated in the OP why it is not the same war, and I have already demonstrated why there is no global earthquake in Ezekiel 38 and 39. It is regional war with a limited number of nations and not EVERY nation of the world which occurs at the war of Armageddon.

So . . . ummmm . . . did anyone actually read my post about why 'erets doesn't mean "planet Earth?"

And if you disagree, can you likewise do a cross-reference examination of Scripture to show that it does?

I have a question for shiloh: do you believe Revelation 6 and Ezekiel 38 are describing the same event and/or time during the Tribulation?
No.

ok, when, in your opinion, does the Ezekiel 38 battle occur?
Some time before Daniel's 70th week.

and do you agree with me Daniel 11 describes this same battle?
Not sure, I will have to do some research.

Personally, I believe it's 2 different wars -- the Daniel 11 war proceeding the Ezekiel 38 war.

If you look at the countries MISSING from the Ezekiel 38 war -- all the Middle East countries -- Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq -- it seems to indicate that something happened to these countries before the Gog & Magog war.

Also, if you look at the border of the south of the Gog & Magog war -- it's Libya and Ethophia -- the exact border the AntiChrist fights to in the Daniel 11 war.

Ezeziel 38:5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

Dan 11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

Dan 11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

I honestly don't have as much time as I wish to go into this in great detail, but if you'd like me to expound on this thought send me a PM,

Another thing I might add here -- remember what Paul told the Corithian church -- "If any man knows anything, he knows NOTHING as he ought to know!" Be careful about being DOGMATIC about prophecy. :emot-hug:

God bless,

George

Personally, I see the Daniel 11 prophecy leading into the tribulation, as it's occuring just before the beginning of what people call the Tribulation.

It's through this war, that I believe the Temple is re-established and through this war that the stage is set for the Jews to accept him at the beginning as the "messiah".

Think about what the Jews expected in the 1st century from their Messiah.

1st -- to establish the Kingdom of David here on earth -- to set up the Kingdom from the Nile to the Euphrates.

2nd -- to destroy their enemies -- at the time the Roman Empire.

It's my personal understanding that it's through this war, that Islam will come under a massive assault where the AntiChrist makes war against Islam and establishes the new border of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates thus creating the atmosphere for the Gog and Magog war. The antichrist could say -- I've established the Kingdom of David and I've wiped out your enemies! If this were to occur, the Jews would embrace him.

Think about the connections. First in the Ezekiel 38 war it specifically says, they are living without walls, or gates.

Considering I live in Israel and about once a week I drive to Jerusalem and there's a HUGE wall all the way up through the West Bank. Something has to happen to this wall will have to be removed in order for the stage to be set up for the Ezekiel war.

How can you suddenly remove this wall? Can Islam honestly be negotiated with? So what happens to create this atmosphere? The answer SEEMS TO BE in Daniel 11. The antichrist makes war with the countries embracing Islam -- thus creating the stage for the Gog & Magog war of Ezekiel 38 since the arab countries are totally removed from the picture of the Gog & Magog war.

This would also explain the enormous wealth that Israel accumulates in the last days -- if they controlled from the Nile to the Euphrates then they would be in control of the massive oil reserves of the world. They could dictate the price of oil. Thus creating the envy and jealously needed for the Gog & Magog war. Russia with its huge oil reserves would be drawn to the region so that it could in theory control ALL the oil reserves of the world by defeating Israel.

As I said, it's my personal understanding of scripture -- take it or leave it for what it is -- a falliable man's opinion trying to make sense of multiple passages of scriptures that need to fit together perfectly in the jigsaw puzzle of prophecy.

Your brother in Christ with much agape love,

George

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
