Anyone want to participate? You're all welcome. It's very simple. I'll begin. Ever heard about the simple "age-old" remedies that seem so unbelievable but they seem to pass the test of time? The most recent I've seen first-hand is the New Mr Clean scrubbing pad that cleans everything down to the shine without scratching....like in the bathtub, with those stains around the tub that seem to never really come out. Try one or maybe two pads and in a short time, the tubs like new again.

Here's one I just heard and forgotten that I had heard about this remedy when I was young: Next time you or one of the children come down with that bad hacking cough at night , try rubbing that smelly old "Vicks Vapo Rub" on yours or their feet and you begin to notice the cough jus seems to go away. This one has been tested and proven valid by many.

Anyone else?

we had a thread like this going in the ladies lounge, but many of the ones i posted were for female related things, so i won't bother posting them here LOL.

but i will say this... tea tree oil is awesome stuff that can be used for just about anything. it's caustic though, so if using it directly on skin, it's best to add it to something else... lotion, petroleum jelly, etc.

Well if you suffer from asthma.. this is what my mom did to remove it from me that I dont even suffer attacks anymore. BOMBARD your body with HOT HOT HOT Lentil soup and HOT HOT HOT Milk with Honey. And force yourself to drink and eat it all while its still as hot as you can handel. It works like a charm belive me! I'll ask her if I'm forgeting anything but this is all.. keep doing it for about 2 months and it should go away I beilve.

Also no remedy is better than Prayer and fasting

i use eucoliptus oil and i put it over the bag in the vacum cleaner and it brings out a nice smel when you vacume threw the house

ok since i am a comercial cleaner and use more better stuff hear is one for carpet stains when steam cleanning carpets use vinigar and you wil see the diffrence as it gets rid of those bad stains

for toilets i am not sure if you can get this wear you are we use a chemical called go getter as it comes in a blue form liquid and its very good on toilets and also in your bath tub and on sinks it brings out a strong clean smell but you have to get gloves and give the toilet and bath tub and sink a good going over it costs about 40 australian dollars yet if you have any commercial cleanning stores near you these guys wil tel you what us cleanners use in goverment building is very good

for windows we use a chemical called sparkle and it bring the window up very clean you need a squigee and cloth and it comes in a big bottle same cost as go getter

if you go to a place that sells chemicals for comercial cleanning this wil be more better for your home than buying this from s suppermarket

i wil add some more things later on as i am about to be picked up for our mens group tonight be blessed a cleanner knows best when it comes to cleanning goverment buildings and schools and homes as this is what we are trained up for

Oh, and let us not foget the infamous "Barley green" that claims to heal our inner track/stomach/intestinal system as well...My sister has been using it for 20 years or better and swears by it.

If you're talking about George Malkmus' magic potion, he no longer uses Barley Green. Now it's Barley Max.

The Barley Green package my sister used was merely called by its original name. Not sure about the poster above this one? Barley Green is recommended for intestinal discomforts, ulsers in and around the stomach, and stomach ailments. Its taste must be acquired though because it sort of taste like the liquid you would get from grass residuals....But my sister swears to it and it's not cheap either.

oh, i knew that one! white vinegar will even take GRAPE juice stains out of carpet. it's awesome. and you don't have to rent a steam cleaner either... on a nice day, open up all doors and windows so the smell doesn't knock you over, pour vinegar directly on stains and spots, get on your hands and knees with an old towel and start scrubbing. it'll take those stains out and burn a few billion calories all at the same time! i do this at least four times a year... usually if we have company coming in from out of town.

great idea about the eucalyptus oil, i'm gonna have to try that.
